I'm also well above median GPA, but one point below last year's LSAT median. Now I'm starting to worry about getting in at all (and if I do get in, paying sticker).NU_Jet55 wrote:It depends, and if this means 167 LSAT, you won't be an auto-admit this year since it seems as though they're trying to bump their median LSAT up to a 168.AEM2010 wrote:Does anyone have an idea how long it usually takes them to make a decision once they put someone under review? I don't expect to be an auto-admit, but i'm holding out hope that it is at least good enough to have them render a decision quickly, especially because i'm already under review. i'm sick of waiting!NU_Jet55 wrote:It depends, and if this means 167 LSAT, you won't be an auto-admit this year since it seems as though they're trying to bump their median LSAT up to a 168.AEM2010 wrote:Does anyone have an idea how long it usually takes them to make a decision once they put someone under review? I was "In Review" for about a month. I received the acceptance via email. FWIW, my status checker still says "In Review". I called and they said to ignore it.

I wonder how many other schools would instruct us to ignore any "under review" updates we get.

Maybe they were tired of neurotic TLSers calling in and panicking over every little date change?Aggiegrad2011 wrote:I wonder how many other schools would instruct us to ignore any "under review" updates we get.

I have a 167. I got in the day after I went UR. I love trying to work this out as much as anyone else, but it is so so so random.NU_Jet55 wrote:It depends, and if this means 167 LSAT, you won't be an auto-admit this year since it seems as though they're trying to bump their median LSAT up to a 168.AEM2010 wrote:Does anyone have an idea how long it usually takes them to make a decision once they put someone under review? I have a 167 too. Went complete two months ago, still not UR. It does look like they've pushed the median up to 168. Just check out lsn.

Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
I doubt they've actually pushed the median up to 168 at this point. They're obviously gunning for it, but it's way too early in the cycle to tell if they've been successful or not (remember, a lot of those 168+ LSATers are going to be treating WUSTL as a safety).username99 wrote:I have a 167 too. Seriously, if the school was not in St. Louis it would be my top choice.HeavenWood wrote:I doubt they've actually pushed the median up to 168 at this point. Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
Bold Prediction - If they do manage to bump the median to 168, they will pass USC in the USNWR Rankings, assuming USC's medians stay the same. However I agree its to early to know if they'll be successful.

Sent my app in at the start of November. Went "in review" last week. I'm a 2.93, 169 so I'm hoping that WUSTL will contine their pattern of splitter-friendliness.

I'm on the same page as you. 2.94/171, went in review 12/2. Here's to hoping we hear back before the holidays!athenian wrote:Sent my app in at the start of November. Went "in review" last week. I'm a 2.93, 169 so I'm hoping that WUSTL will contine their pattern of splitter-friendliness.

Re: WUSTL 2011 Cycle
If they continue the trends of years past, you'll almost definitely be in.0LNewbie wrote:I just submitted today- LSAT way above 75th and GPA starting with 2... will I be waiting forever? Two years WE.
WUSTL applicants, if you are in one of these 3 groups you can stop worrying because you are almost definitely going to get in. (This of course assumes you didn't mess anything major up on your application and you're not a convicted murderer/have 17 DUI's on your record)
1) If you have a 169+
2) If you have a 168, 3.25+
3) If you have a 163+, 3.75+, assuming:
A. WUSTL tries to maintain the 75th percentile at 3.8
B. WUSTL tries to up the 25th percentile LSAT to 163 again
C. You're willing to wait and write LOCI's.
I'm not saying that if you don't fall into one of these three categories you don't have a shot. However, if you're a non-urm without badass rhodes scholar-type amazing softs, it's going to be tough. And in all likelihood you're probably in for a long wait. Buckle up.

That does help, thanks. I didn't realize they were so desperate for LSAT scores in the 170s that they'd take some almost regardless of his or her GPA.

Does WUSTL send out a packet after the initial email acceptance?

I dunno if "desperate" is the right word, but yes, they have always been a school that favors the LSAT heavily and is friendly to splitters.0LNewbie wrote:That does help, thanks.
