Re: Wake 2011
I really want Wake to be the first school I get in to, been UR since 1/4. Over 75%lsat under 25%gpa. If I got any money it would be hard to turn down Wake.

Thanks for the info!iambeautiful wrote:Hey guys! Wanted to relay this message. I just spoke with the someone in the admissions and apparently they had planned on sending out scholarships early (maybe sometime this week) but due to to inclement weather, school closing and Ms Nutt being out sick, they had to push it back so we still have to wait. Here's to hoping for next week tho!

I bet you will hear around when I do. Their decisions seem to come in waves and from what I've read here we have a good shot since we applied early. I'll let you know if I hear anything!swilson215 wrote:I'm in a similar situatio. Applied 11/15(ish), under review since 11/29. oh no! I was really hoping to hear something this week. I really don't think I'll be able to attend the Scholars Open House (if I get a scholarship) since it'd be kinda short notice to plan and budget a trip from TXiambeautiful wrote:Hey guys! Do you have a 163+,3.0+ ? Cause that was teh monies cutoff last year. (unless there are some extreme splitter/reverse splitter scenarios I'm not aware of).DamnLSAT wrote:Applied 12/25, Finally under review today 1/12.

I think the cut off was higher than that, otherwise I am totally thrilled because I have 163,3.3! lolNicholasnickynic wrote:Do you have a 163+,3.0+ ? Cause that was teh monies cutoff last year. Sorry, this may have already been answered, but do we know when Wake is giving out money? I was accepted a while ago, but no word on $$$. Does this mean none is coming? Wake might be my first choice, but not without some cash.

Re: Wake 2011
I mean, because you are right at the cutoff, it might not be a lot, but unless the applicant pool has gotten dramatically better, I'd say you stand a decent chance.Barbie wrote:I think the cut off was higher than that, otherwise I am totally thrilled because I have 163,3.3! lolNicholasnickynic wrote:Do you have a 163+,3.0+ ? I'm not sure a 163/3.0 will get money, but I know that people with 163s and good gpas, as well as people with 165-168 and 3.0s, got money. If I'm not mistaken, no 162s got money, and no one with below a 3.0 got money.

You would think, but from what I've gathered Sandro applied this cycle and no scholarships have been given by Wake yet = ?Gemini Hopeful wrote:I think Sandro is implying that he has a 2.9 and got $$.Barbie wrote:?Sandro777 wrote:you guys are completely wrong, the cutoff for scholarships is 2.9

Re: Wake 2011
Based off last years LSN cycle, the LSAT cutoff for scholarships seems to be 163 (non-URMs). Looks like they gave a few scholarships to sub 3.0 people with LSATs 168+.
Who knows though, the applicant pool may be a good bit smaller than last years, so your guess is as good as mine as to what the cutoffs will be this year. Probably nothing drastically different from last year.
