Wow they must really have some issues with me. Still at 10/11 with no movement here. I am stuck everywhere it seems!
I feel the exact same, stuck in october/early november at seemingly every school.... not gonna lie, makes me feel a little better seeing you are too as your numbers are slightly higher
Glad to help! :D

You are absolutely welcome, I am glad I offered any useful advice. I can't be unhappy with Berkeley so far. If I just get Penn then I can stop being antsy and leisurely hope for my long shots.

I am so glad for you! It's exciting!

Does an update on your UR date have any significance on the Duke status checker, sort of like it does on the Georgetown one? I got my second UR update today.

I was RD and, in answer to the previous question, was under review twice before status changed to "wait for e-mail". That said, the second UR date was about three days after I sent in an additional essay, so it might have just reflected that being added to my file. But I was accepted about 1.5 weeks after sending in an additional essay, so anyone who feels on the edge (like I did) might want to take that into account. Just saying. I was not autoadmit (at lsat median, barely above gpa 25th), so clearly something else was going on for me to get in this early. I'd be curious to know what, exactly.

RD here. A couple things I think might help. My average LSAT is under the median at Duke and my gpa is under the median. I didn't send an addendum (my reasons weren't anything like a death in the family or depression or anything and I thought it'd be disingenuous to just say "I worked really hard, wouldn't accept the score I got so worked even harder". Maybe that contributes to people wondering how much an addendum, or lack of, helps/hurts..

I was looking at a lot of Duke stuff yesterday and wow definitely one of my top choices pending a CCN acceptance :)

So, it's currently freezing rain and sleeting outside. I am curled up in a Snuggie and sipping hot cocoa.

I had made the case to a friend a couple of weeks ago that Duke had the best weather of any T14 law school. ... So much for that. Take your rightful place, Berkeley/Stanford; I concede.

My status changed from "File complete; ready for review" to "File under review" today, so it appears the Duke admissions team is still at it. I didn't know there was a status between completion and decision; is this totally standard? (Sorry, I haven't really been keeping up with this thread.)

Ack! Under Review as of today... caught me off guard!

This is the official beginning of my cycle - which is actually a lot more nervewrecking than I anticipated.

I believe so, yes. I've been UR since 12/13, if it helps. :)

Does anyone know if schools typically take the whole of next week off? Just curious!

Thanks! It was by e-mail. It did talk specifically about scholarship applications, but I assume all of them do so.

Received an e-mail from Duke Law today informing me that I had been admitted. I applied with a regular application.

My GPA is a little below their 75%
My LSAT is slightly above their 75%

I submitted my application on the 10th of November. I didn't keep track as to when the application became complete.

I did a bit of LSN researching on Duke, and it seems like the brunt of accepted folks get in after about a week of being under review, sometimes more like 2 or 3 days, even if they applied September 1st. The people who get WL or dinged have to wait until Jan-March to get their news. Don't get me wrong, there are some exceptions, but anyone who is interested should check it out because it's pretty interesting. I've never heard of a school with such a fast turnaround on acceptances.

That doesn't seem to be the case this year, only for the PT people. People from October still haven't heard (people with good numbers).

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
