Asking for next year. I don't really care between NYU and Columbia but would prefer Columbia by the tiniest of margins. I'd be satisfied either way. I'm going to have apps in September 1st. Already working on personal statements etc.

Baller. Yeah, Columbia Univ. campus is amazing. That's what did it for me. Tho I'm one of those people that needs to click with the campus.

Don't remind me, I've been dashing to my postal carrier every day and checking my email, TLS, and LSN at least 5 times an hour D: I really hope we get our decisions back tomorrow!

I applied Early Decision and sent my contract by next day mail on the ED deadline, but I still haven't heard anything about if they've received anything or not. I'm starting to get a little worried as decisions are suppose to be rolling in really soon. Should I call them tomorrow and check the status of my documents?

They MIGHT have given you time if you had called on ED day and explained your situation but if you've gone this long and haven't contacted Columbia you might be out of luck.

I called them on ED day, as well as yesterday. They said everything was fine !

Btw, do you know what's the normal turnaround time if you e-mail a specific person at the Admissions Office? or any experience with it? I need to send in a specific form (JD/MBA) and I want that in before they review my files. I am not sure when I need to follow up because it's been quite a few days since I wrote them.

I've emailed the admissions office a few times in the past, but never a specific person within it. I've always gotten a response within one business day. I'd call 'em up jic.

I called their office to ask about sending something, and they said they'd reply within an hour during business hours. I'd definitely call and ask. They're really a friendly bunch.
