+1. I have a slightly earlier complete date than you, and I'm wondering how long beyond the 2-month mark I should wait to call the admissions office and double-check that I don't have any missing materials that are holding me up from going UR.nattybro wrote:I'm complete 12/15, still not under review. While U of C does say that you will generally hear back within 8-10 wks of going under review, on the website it also says you might not hear back until 6-8 wks after going under review. It may take some time. I went complete in mid Nov, decision didn't come until first wk of Feb.

Re: U Chicago 2010
So about a 2-month wait from complete to UR. I'm right around there. I'm getting a little paranoid because I had a family friend who had a problem with her U of C app last year where they were missing stuff but still marked her complete. She eventually called them because she kept not going UR and they figured it out, but she didn't get a decision until May even though she submitted in the fall. I really doubt that is going to happen to me, but I'm not sure my sanity would last that long if it did, so I'll probably call and make sure they have everything just for my own sake.AppsAbound wrote:UR 1/19, 1/26, 2/4

There's nothing on their Twitter indicating it but anyone think a batch of acceptances will be released this week?
When are they going to get to WL'ed applicants?

Same here, but if it IS ranked, I don't think I'm near the topjsarna1 wrote:This question needs to be answered! I'm just in love with this school. Hopefully my LOCI sings the right romantic tonestilghmab wrote:+1Jericwithers wrote:Does Chicago rank the waitlist?

They usually take a couple of weeks between batches. I wouldn't expect anything this week.D Brooks wrote:There's nothing on their Twitter indicating it but anyone think a batch of acceptances will be released this week?

I wonder if they're even working today? I forgot it was Presidents' Day since my firm definitely didn't give the day off today.

Re: U Chicago 2010
I doubt they will get to WL'ed applicants for a very long time.... I just now went under review and had been complete since early Dec. So that means they are only on Dec original applicants and have no incentive to get to WL'ed until after going through all regular applicants.D Brooks wrote:There's nothing on their Twitter indicating it but anyone think a batch of acceptances will be released this week?

Unless for some reason they do WL with regular applicants, which I couldn't see why they would do that.

They had a problem with the Need Based Aid website, so they are sending out notifications to the people who filled out that form in the next few days, according to the Director of Financial Aid.

Were we supposed to get notified that the essay was received? I'm curious how quick the turnaround will be with it.Kronk wrote:Scholarship notifications, anyone?

We have decided to award you $0.00 dollars. In addition, we messed up pretty badly when we accidentally gave you an acceptance call, so we've raised our tuition for special "at-risk" candidates like yourself to a modest $65,000 per year.
You suck at life,

I finally got the acceptance packet in the mail today. They stuffed the wrong letter into the packet though, so I have a letter addressed to some Indian girl. Good job, Chicago.

You did tee it up for me. I would have missed it since I don't view this thread anymore, but my spider-sense was burning.Kronk wrote:Well played.

You may be upset to know that it didn't require Spider-Sense for me in the Duke thread.Jericwithers wrote:You did tee it up for me. I would have missed it since I don't view this thread anymore, but my spider-sense was burning.Kronk wrote:Well played.
