JS1 on Wednesday, March 1st! Literally got it the day after my Feb LSAT score was released (asked H to wait on reviewing my application until Feb scores came out).
Went complete 02/02.
Anyone know if this is just a coincidence that I got JS1 right after scores were released or a good sign because the turn around time was so fast?

My gut reaction is that they were planning to give you a JS1 anyway, but were respecting your wishes to hold your file. Unless you had a MAJOR score job (more than 3 points). But I also have no real clueklove2020 wrote:165, 3.7 AA female applying from an ivy (not sure if that matters).mrgstephe wrote:We'd probably need to know your score before we can tell you any of that.klove2020 wrote:JS1 on Wednesday, March 1st! This is good news, though, because I also asked them to hold my file until after Feb scores came out, and I wasn't sure if I should e-mail them again just to make sure they went back to reviewing it. But if they started moving on your file immediately, I'll assume they released the files of everyone who took the Feb test right away. (fwiw I had a JS1 before I asked them to hold my file, so I'm just waiting on a JS2--hopefully!!!--now)

Came here bored at work on a Friday and was not disappointed by this lovely collection of Office quotes.
"If I can't scuba, what's this all been about?"
Also the Emmy's skit with Jesse from Breaking Bad was gold: "Hey, my crystal meth got here guys!"

What's our view on number of JS1s that might still go out or on percentage of this cycle's JS1s that have been scheduled or completed?

Seriously, though, I don't know how to search for that sort of thing on LSN, and we haven't been keeping track of dates in this thread :/ Check the spreadsheet?

Well, about half of the waves have gone by, if this year's gonna have the same number as last year, right? Which makes me think that maybe about half of JS1's have been sent out. I could be way off, of course.Smc1994 wrote:MrJD2020 wrote:What's our view on number of JS1s that might still go out or on percentage of this cycle's JS1s that have been scheduled or completed?

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I think it's tough to generate any predictions for this cycle from last year; we haven't kept track of the data nearly as well, and, based on LSN and Facebook, over half of the students currently admitted got in on a singular day in February.
I know it's not the answer anyone wants, but, given the unique way that this cycle has played out, I think most questions will lead us back to this conclusion.

So I heard this from a friend at Harvard but basically once Harvard lets in around 850ish people, they stop JS1s. They aim to give out 1200 JS1s but sometimes they stop before then. So its sort of hard to predict how many waves are left exactly.

This time last year, Jeb Bush had just dropped out of the primary. A lot of unpredictable things can happen. Let's not extrapolate from incomplete data. Even with my optimistic analysis, I know how freaked out I would be if I read through this thread looking for information about JS1s. It's March, and I understand that our collective anxiety may soon reach fever pitch, but let's try to be a little bit considerate of whether our data contributions actually add something valuable to the available information.alpinespring wrote:Jesushammy393 wrote:At this point last year, only 4 out of 24 JS1 waves remainedMrJD2020 wrote:What's our view on number of JS1s that might still go out or on percentage of this cycle's JS1s that have been scheduled or completed?

Regardless, we're at a point in the cycle where there are likely few JS1s to be handed out. Exactly how many, nobody knowsSmc1994 wrote:This time last year, Jeb Bush had just dropped out of the primary. A lot of unpredictable things can happen. Let's not extrapolate from incomplete data.
