Sorry to hear that. Berk will be sick though.

Do you mean literally "just" DLS'ed? I wonder if this means they are trickling out today instead of a big wave.

Wild speculation: they may literally be making final decisions today and are making decisions realtime as the committee goes through each application for the last time.

Also, when did you submit Onix?
Please don't do this to me. I was about to take a nap before my next class.

onix - you might be on the WL! But, good news, you'll be in beautiful CA either way.

"just" = within 15 minutes or so, that's my status checking interval. Submitted on 2/1. Complete on 2/17. 171/4.0. PhD.

They'd probably tell me your decision is in the mail, we have no idea what it is. Sorry.

Evil.

fyi last year they would give decisions over the phone once you're dls

but you're right, they do seem to be getting more and more evil, so could have changed

This may be incentive enough to find out their phone number.

Someone on LSN posted that they were waitlisted. Maybe they called in.

hmmm, the person who said they're currently making decisions on the spot.... not the most efficient way of informing applicants. I suspect they have a list and they're updating files now. I might relax (for today) if I don't hear anything in the next hr or so.

I can't get the status checker app to work/send me updates, so I gotta manually check. #firstworldproblems #OCDproblems

No. It means that even in this wave of DLS, I am still "submitted for review." I don't even get the courtesy of a quick and painless break-up. :(

I think it would've been a good thing to be apart of this wave. Seems likely that it's a DLS-WL wave instead of a DLS-Rejection wave

There's no such thing as a quick and painless break-up.

Of course Stanford would be the one to ruin my perfect streak and end my cycle all in one go. How evil.

There is literally zero chance in hell that carbon gets straight up dinged. I think if carbon survives what looks like a WL wave, it means that she was one of they few who got picked as admits from that pool. Yeah, we'll go with that.

Well it is pretty clear that they are trying to find a way to give you a phone call, hopefully the "too happy" ASW folks will withdraw and make that happen very soon. You clearly deserve it, even though it would be a little bit crazy for you to not just renew that lease and go to Y.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
