I think you definitely have a point, but you should keep in mind that they probably still have apps from March to look at that they haven't relegated to their "get to them when we get to them" pile. Moreover, they probably have "ranked" us a bit, but that doesn't mean that midnight on the deadline day, they launch their acceptance letters. It will still probably be a week before another wave of acceptances.rockchalk86 wrote:So I guess they were just on break during the quiet 3 weeks before the deadline? I don't buy that. I think they were looking at everyone left and making a plan from there... maybe ranking who was left in some way. If x percentage accepts schollys, we will have y vacancies. I just don't think they were sitting on their hands for three weeks.Z3RO wrote:I doubt that there will be many decisions this week. +1 about March apps. I wish they get to them soon. I know it's my fault but stillZ3RO wrote:I think you definitely have a point, but you should keep in mind that they probably still have apps from March to look at that they haven't relegated to their "get to them when we get to them" pile. All correspondences regarding decisions come by snail mail?

Application complete 2/9/2010 with no application status updates since then. Is it fathomable that they just haven't reviewed my application fully at this time? Am I perhaps de facto waitlisted until they have a better idea of who is going to commit? Is it even possible, nevermind likely, that somebody would be accepted this late.
My numbers: 3.65 gpa at weak undergrad, 174 lsat on a retake, 23 years old, over 5 years of work experience (often worked two jobs while in school), heavy volunteer, heavy campus leadership, speak Arabic, collegiate athlete... basically good numbers, weak undergrad, nice softs. What do you all think? Thanks a bunch! (please note, I am going to post this same message for a couple other schools I haven't heard from yet, same situation... haha)

+1 for the 2/9 complete email, but my boyfriend was accepted about 2 months after he applied.. he submitted his app in Oct/Nov and heard in Jan/Feb I think? So I'm thinking it just might be a normal wait time, compounded by the fact that they probably received more apps around when we applied. My gpa is a little higher than yours but I have a way lower LSAT (even after retaking) which seems to be my achilles in this whole process.

My mailbox has been eerily empty for the last 2 weeks. I expect to receive at least 2 rejections every time I open my box.

You should get in, but you applied very late in the cycle in a year with record applicants. I don't know how that will affect your chances.Bobushka22 wrote:Application complete 2/9/2010 with no application status updates since then. Either way, with your numbers, you should be going to either CCN or a T10 with $$. If that doesn't happen, I'd reapply next year earlier in the cycle.

So a truck load of people with good numbers are going to fall victim to this cycle and reapply? I better get my apps in the night they come out.

Dated 3/23. postmarked 4/2. I received a fee waiver from them in January and applied then; otherwise it wouldn't have been on my radar at all. Not surprised! This was my last outstanding one, though, so it's just good to have them all in.lovepink2 wrote:Sorry to hear that. Was the letter dated 3/23 or postmarked 3/23?GobiasIndustries wrote:Ding. Are they reviewing in any particular order? Because if so, then I think I'm pretty much screwed.

Just in case anyone misses my previous post:
I applied on 1/9 after getting a fee waiver, went complete on 2/5. Letter dated 3/23, postmarked 4/2, arrived on 4/6.
Glad to be done with this cycle.
