Excuse my ignorance, when was the last round of admits?
1/22 - 1/29 (not counting the 2/2 PI admits). I'm being especially helpful just for you, booboo

Since the thread seems to be filled with large LSAT point jumps, who included an addendum on it?

I thought it ended 1/27. Either way, I suppose in theory I was complete in time to be admitted, but in practice Columbia isn't big on one- to three-day turnarounds.

13 points?! dayum...what made the difference?
Luck, mostly. My June 2009 score (163) was ten points below my PT average and two points below my first ever PT. I wasn't sick; I wasn't plagued by annoying LSAT proctors; and I wasn't especially nervous. I just had a bad day. If I took the LSAT 50 times, I'd probably score 163 once.
Before the September 2009 test, I did no preparation besides taking four practice tests, one each weekend, in the four weeks leading up to the test. Other than the four PTs, I did not study and I did not think about the LSAT at all. I made a conscious effort to stay out of TLS from July through September. I averaged 176 on my four PTs, and that's what I ended up scoring on test day.
There's definitely something to be said for less prep. I took a class in preparation for my first go-around last June, studied excessively, psyched myself out, etc., and consequently scored way below my PT average. I couldn't make myself go through all that stuff again in preparation for Sept., so I relaxed and did way less prep (but still one PT a day for a month).

In that case blue, I think it is becoming a little more obvious that some of you (I am looking at blue, BenJ, V6, maudlinstreet, Viola, et. al.) are going to be in the next round.

.
Fixed.

I remember seeing a post or two that claimed letters dated 1/29. Either way, none of them ended up in my mailbox, so who cares

Way less prep = One prep test a day for a month? I did like 8 in my month before my retake, and I thought I was trying too hard (or that it didn't matter and I was going to be an LSAT failure [ I have great self esteem]).

Thanks for the well wishes, but I'm already accepted. Like you, though, I am pulling for blue, BenJ, V6, and Viola.

I did a ridiculous & unnecessary amount of prep for June. I think I did 3 PTs in a day a couple times. I was really overdoing it because I knew I had to make up for my TTT gpa, but it ended up backfiring.

sometimes i fool myself into believing that my gpa is not too terribly low to qualify me for the dream of a butler. but then i remember my lack of vce.
Yeah my app screams PI, but my 169 screams WL/reject at Columbia.
Same for both, except my 168 screams it with a megaphone.

Me. Wishing I hadn't, though. The less said, the better.

I wish I had realized that no adcomm wants to spend 2 minutes of his/her busy day reading my LSAT sob story and that unnecessary addenda would actually hurt my app in time to not submit them.

I'm almost positive that it didn't hurt your application - people here are just super panicky and think every little thing is going to kill their chances. I'm sure your addendum was fine

Not to be a spoil sport, but any pain they might feel I think will be negated when they see your 99.5+ percentile LSAT score. (Sigh, I had to actually look at the chart for that... Lol.)

lol, I hope you're right (and I kind of like those charts, I think it's interesting how much data LSAC compiles every year about the LSAT. Only on TLS would I actually express this.)

I wish there was better information on minority performance, most of their data is at least ten years old now... :/.
