Sorry to all the WLs. Did your status checkers update to decision before the email came?

Sorry to re-ask the same question, but what is everyone's status checker showing. I am still UR but I want to brace myself if the WL/Rejection email is coming today.

I was waitlisted. Your status changes to "decision -- you will be notified soon" ... something like that. Then once the email is sent, your decision shows in the status checker as "Waitlisted".

Sorry I had Duke confused with another school. Mine still says "decision you will be notified soon" and has not changed to waitlisted.

Did anyone successfully negotiate a [larger] scholarship yet?

IIRC, they said that they won't make any decision on changing offers until all initial offers are made. Is this true? And if it is, then what is the key date there? I want to hold off until after the ASW to send in my appeal for sure, but I wonder if/how long I should wait to see if I hear back from NYU or Columbia...

Similar dates, slightly longer wait (only by a few days)...I don't mind the wait so much because it is my DREAM school, but the wait is certainly helping me prepare myself for the worst and I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing...haha

My application was received on the 12/9. I've been complete since 2/1. Is it time to give up? Would it be rude to call and ask if they have any idea when a decision will be reached? I've got deadlines coming up soon.

I heard from a very, very reliable source that the last initial scholarship offers will be sent out this week.

I have heard a rumor that the WL is larger than the entering class. It sucks but I think it is actually true.
