Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
Several people have mentioned that the lack of decisions lately may be due to all SLS Admissions staff doing ASW-related work. Having worked in a similar capacity at another school before, I can definitely see this being plausible.
I googled it and couldn't easily find the dates for Stanford's ASW.
What are the dates?
Thanks in advance.

Can confirm that sls3l is not trolling (and no, sadly, I am not the "friend" in question).james.bungles wrote:lol thisChalupa-Batman wrote:Stats or it didn't happen.sls3l wrote:A friend got in this morning.

Maybe Dean Deal will have all the ASWers congregate in a conference room and they'll all call in the final acceptances on speaker.

I would love to preview some minorities-and to be previewed as a minority. Good gods, please just invite me to the party!!Nonconsecutive wrote:April 4-7th (4th is technically minority preview day).theonerd wrote:Several people have mentioned that the lack of decisions lately may be due to all SLS Admissions staff doing ASW-related work. I'm I right in thinking that hardly anyone close to or above the medians has reported being dinged?

this made me check my status checker.muzzy wrote:Spreadsheet / LSN shows a handful, but I don't think there have been enough rejections to say anything meaningful.drawstring wrote:I'm I right in thinking that hardly anyone close to or above the medians has reported being dinged?
New poll idea...
Number of times you check your status per day:
0 - I'm on that old school mailbox grind.
1 - Just to know what's coming, you know?
Few times a day - When I have time. Anxious to know!
9000+ - I like pain.

Stanford's status checker is great because it doesn't tell you if you've been accepted, only if you've been denied (or WLed).
How evil is that

I mean even though it updates regularly that doesn't really do much. Mine changes basically every day and I haven't heard anything in months.fleurdelis2 wrote:All law schools should take a page out of the Michigan handbook on status checkers.

I wish they'd all do it like Yale--let us know when there will be action.

Good plan.muzzy wrote:Would it hurt for admissions offices to announce their general plans for the week / basic numbers once things get to crunch time?
"Focused on ASW this weekend. Back to scheduled programing next week!"
"We still have a dozen or so offers to make. Make sure your phone is charged."
etc.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
