My school had B+ at 3.5 and A- and 3.75. There isn't a grade I hate most in this life than a B+. Oddly enough I love A-s because it shows you're smart enough yet not perfect.

God that's awful. LSAC would recalculate those both as lower numbers in the GPA they send to schools.JayJones78 wrote:

Yeah, but I hope you appreciate how freaking awesome it is that you don't have to worry about -'s. The difference between an 84 and an 83 at my school is a big one.Unoriginalist wrote: No A- or A+ grades. No - grades at all, I don't think...

Yeah, I rarely got outright As, but lots of A-s. My GPA would be lots higher if my school didn't have +s or -s. Of course, it would have been higher if I hadn't taken multivariable calc, or if I had gone to my Art History class, or.....alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Yeah, but I hope you appreciate how freaking awesome it is that you don't have to worry about -'s. Yeah I've always found that getting Bs/B+s requires so disproportionately less work than getting Asalwayssunnyinfl wrote:I would just shoot for B+s in every classJayJones78 wrote:Yup.alwayssunnyinfl wrote:So there's a .5 gap between a B and a B+?JayJones78 wrote: My school had B+ at 3.5 and A- and 3.75. I can't speak to the availability of vegan food, but as to reasonable (and good) coffee, St. Louis has it. Kaldi's is a local phenomenon, and their roasts are fantastic. We have a lot of independent roasters here that make small batches of fresh coffee. So, in summary, St. Louis brewers and coffee roasters are excellent. Also, there are many ethnic food joints, and everything from good pizza to fancy dining. Then again, I've become awfully reliant on all this amazing vegan food and reasonable coffee...
