At the end of this massive gap in any word, do you think they'll just being throwing us all on Waitlist or Rejecting us? Will there be an acceptances? How can they take so long for those results?
Does anyone else feel slighted if a school lets you in, but not in time for its own Accepted Students events? Does that mean we're 2nd-class acceptances?

Re: NYU 2010
I think they are waiting for the end of today to see how many scholly offered students commit. After that, they will assess how many (if any) remaining applicants to admit. The rest will we WL's or dings. This is just my opinion, but I think it makes sense.jadjerd wrote:At the end of this massive gap in any word, do you think they'll just being throwing us all on Waitlist or Rejecting us? +1. Let's face it, the probability of a WL is very high at this point. An admit would be a near miracle for any of us, and I have no problem missing an admitted student event for the privilege of an NYU law degree.hannah87 wrote:same here. also, i wouldn't mind being a 2nd-class acceptee at all.rockchalk86 wrote:I think they are waiting for the end of today to see how many scholly offered students commit. It is 70 degrees and sunny in DC. And we will all be accepted next week. So it is written.

They are closed? If that's the case, I am going to work under the assumption that they just haven't gotten around to updating my info into the admitted students site yetCrimsonCal wrote:r6_philly wrote:So now that Friday is here, how often are you guys checking the login? Good luck everyone!

I doubt that there will be many decisions this week. They need some time to assess the aftermath of the scholly deadline.

Re: NYU 2010
So I guess they were just on break during the quiet 3 weeks before the deadline? I don't buy that. I think they were looking at everyone left and making a plan from there... maybe ranking who was left in some way. If x percentage accepts schollys, we will have y vacancies. I just don't think they were sitting on their hands for three weeks.Z3RO wrote:I doubt that there will be many decisions this week. for those who have been admitted and have already attended the admitted student days: what is the dress? business casual, or just casual?

The fact that most decision deadlines are next week, and October applicants have still yet to hear back is sort of sickening. Hopefully NYU comes out of hibernation to show just the slightest shred of respect to a whole bunch of early applicants.

I saw a mix. Some people were wearing jeans and t-shirts, but I'd suggest going the business casual route as you really can't go wrong with that.chi16 wrote:for those who have been admitted and have already attended the admitted student days: what is the dress? business casual, or just casual?
