wl'd today...
so far i haven't gotten into a single t14, barring the georgetown spwl, the meaning of which is totally incomprehensible to me.
should i expect all of these wls with a 171/3.57 @ top 15 nat'l university? or should i look at my chances as potentially much greater during the next cycle? i'm a little bit shocked, but i thought i would check with everyone else to make sure i should be...

Are you automatically entered onto the the waitlist after notification? Or is there a form that I need to send in?

If you applied late that's probably what's hurting you. Consider re-applying early next fall and I think your results will be better.

Re: In at Duke!
Not late at all. If you didn't write a Why Duke that would explain it. And definitely write a new PS, it looks bad to submit everything EXACTLY the same just a little bit earlier.nesnejnes06 wrote:applied just after xmas...not super late and not super early. can i use the same personal statement next fall?thickfreakness wrote:nesnejnes06 wrote:wl'd today...

Re: In at Duke!
kid i live with did not write a why duke and got in with a 168, 170 second time and a 3.69. i know duke likes gpa more than lsat but..........-_-thickfreakness wrote:Not late at all. EDIT: also, this may be redundant for the crowd @ tls, but my personal statement was no slouch, and my softs are above average, although they are not amazing. i mention this because not in order to argue with the fact that i should write a new PS next year--if i should, i should--but rather in order to eliminate possible reasons that i would not be offered admission. given that my buddy has a lower lsat, twice, my ps was just fine if not a bonus, my softs are fine, and why duke hasn't adversely affected others, i'm supposing it's my gpa. bummer since all of my problems come down to 2 bad grades in the same subject.

Sorry to re-ask the same question, but what is everyone's status checker showing. I am still UR but I want to brace myself if the WL/Rejection email is coming today.jks289 wrote:Sorry to all the WLs. Did your status checkers update to decision before the email came?
