I feel like Columbia will have an all-time low attendance at its first ASD this year.

Why's Columbia taking so long for decisions? I can't believe I've heard back from Cornell before Columbia, who is notoriously bad/late.

Still nada here, I stopped counting around 100 days since completion, so I'm not sure how long its been exactly anymore.

Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
anecdotally at least. I don't know if it is worth it at all to try and make some kind of census of applicants in order to get a clearer picture, I guess this is what the spreadsheets are for. maybe they're trying new policies, like interviews, the usefulness of which seems debatable, or its just an issue of not having enough staff/time misallocation. it's tricky not to apply some rational motivations to each little bit of new information. on our end, though, I've decided to take the twiddle my thumbs approach for the next month. crunching stats for our purposes of finding encouragement/discouragement seems dubious, given that at the end of the day we really only care about our applications and whether the results are typical or atypical doesn't matter one bit in the grand scheme. It could be worse, I think people in the Harvard thread have resorted to sacrificing small animals to a limestone idol with "JS" craved into the base.lakers180 wrote:this year just seems very slow compared to past data i've seen. waiting everywhere
