Do you mean did my status checker update? Yeah, it did. It didn't do anything from November to February, and then over the course of the past month it has been updating every week or so.

There doesn't really seem to be anything inexplicable about being UR for months without word from NYU. They haven't released WL notifications yet. The huge majority of people who have been UR forever without word are in that group.

Schools that have been WLing all along and have still been sitting on some apps for months are a bit more strange, but NYU isn't in that group.

Assuming you're responding to Noodley, he's referring to financial aid.

Sent in my need access and Fafsa on February 11. I applied for no named scholarships. I am still "currently under review". I am losing patience.

I'm interested in how this turns out. If I get admitted, I'm gonna have a problem similar to yours.

Considering that Harvard is apparently not even gonna dignify me with an interview, I somehow doubt I'm gonna get into Stanford, or really any T10.

Then again, cycle isn't over yet, but I have a bad feeling.

Nope, you'll get that later via email as long as you've submitted FAFSA and Need Access. You can check the status of your financial aid app here, but I'm not sure how soon after you've been admitted you can access it.

I'd feel better about this if URMs who applied and went complete the same time I did hadn't already had JS1s.

I've taken time off from school for depression, transferred schools three times, starting from a T5 private to T20 public, so I'm pretty sure that's why I'm not gonna get into SLS or HLS (didn't apply to Y). I'm even having doubts about any of the T10 at this point. I'm probably heading for GULC.

As for summer pulling off the waitlist, meh. Probably will be too late for me to make a sudden change like that.

Really pumped, but I had applied to RTK and when I asked on the phone call today if I might still hear about it they pretty much said everyone who was getting interviewed had already been invited. Still happy but I'm about to apply for financial aid but my hopes for RTK are pretty much extinguished

Congrats to the RTK/Jacobson/etc finalists! For those of you still waiting on Dean's scholarship offers - good luck; this is a great place regardless of what the name behind your money is.

Are people dressing business casual or just straight up casual for ASW tomorrow?

I don't know how people dress in cold weather but I was planning to wear a jacket (I think that's the right word). I actually went out and bought it today because the only warm stuff I have is a sweatshirt and jeans.

If I find out this is totally the wrong thing to do (after observing what others are wearing) I may adjust accordingly.
