accepted december, and still no offer yet
Have you submitted Need Access/FAFSA? If not, you won't get an offer until they receive at least Need Access. If you have, the next round of offers should be out by next week

any word from DLS people? I'm really hoping for my decision either way ASAP, at least for closure.

Have you told them about your deadline yet? I'm not convinced I'll ever get any confirmation from NYU, but maybe in your case?

I was thinking about it, but I wasn't sure it would go over well or even how to phrase it

on that note, does anyone have any words of wisdom about whether or not contacting NYU about my deadline is wise?

You could just tell them you have another offer and the deadline is ____, but NYU is your top choice. Maybe call with this short of notice to try to get some kind of feeling if you're headed for the Waitlist or still in the running.
Hate to say it but this late in the game- probably not much to lose in asking.

Dear Admissions Office Overlords - please let it be an acceptance and end the waitlist streak for theaether.
- Splitter rooting for you who has been under review at NYU since 1/6.

Are you by any chance URM? If not, you are having one hell of a cycle. Congrats

If you don't mind my asking, have you written a LOCI or why NYU? I want to maximize my chances of getting in, but do not want to risk annoying the admissions committee (I applied in january)

ugh. I hate you for giving me hope.
My numbers are just slightly worse than yours and my cycle has been just as horrible, minus the NYU acceptance.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
