Seems like those of us DF today are in a 166-167, good but not amazing GPA range. Not to be all Debbie Downer, but I'm wondering if this is a wave of dings...Pink wrote:DF today. Fully expecting my ding.

It's possible, but USC's admissions is as numbers-centic as I've ever experienced. I'm hoping my softs + PS can sway them, but I can't get over how none of us have spectacular numbers...I desperately hope I'm wrong, but I'm just trying to temper my expectations a little.cdsj wrote:What about softs though? Re: USC 2011
I have a boat load of undergrad debt (83k) that would make Cornell at sticker pretty hard to swallow. I was strongly considering U of M at sticker if I was accepted though so I'd at least give it some consideration. My ugrad debt almost locks me into the biglaw path no matter where I go and it really blows hard.FiveSermon wrote:What about Cornell at sticker?coreno16 wrote:Got denial in the mail today in the midwest. I wonder if, on some tiny level, SC discriminates against LA grads, and vice versa. Or maybe they encourage it to try and convert them... any thoughts?RedItalus10 wrote:Waitlisted. 159/166/3.7, UG: UCLA. Found out while in the airport on the way back from visiting ND. Is USC worth sticker? ND offered 30k and cost of living is like half of that in LA. I'm pretty sure that I don't want big law. I want to work in LA for sure. I am debt averse.
FWIW: ND was great. Really comfortable and seems like a great fit.

edit: Though this might due to the larger student body size at UCLA and Cal

Waitlisted as well. Did all the waitlisted get the same email today (or whenever they sent it to you) sayingsnichols16 wrote:Slightly surprising.stowhat wrote:Waitlisted today. 168/3.4.

For anyone that's reserved their scholarship offer through email have you received confirmation about it?

No decision over the phone.
She did ask for my name and looked up my file, and by the suddenly sympathetic tone in her voice the news is probably not good.
I have a feeling that if any of you are East coast, though, they may give you the decision.

Yes, I received a confirmation, but it was about a week-and-a-half after I sent the email to reserve my scholarship offer. I emailed USC on March 26 and got the confirmation on April 6.cslopez5 wrote:For anyone that's reserved their scholarship offer through email have you received confirmation about it?
