ANY merit scholarship? I thought that darrow made you ineligible, but the partial dean's scholarships didn't. Am I wrong about that?

I had the same statement on my Dean's scholarship letter. UM took a big hit in my book on that one.

Yes, any merit scholarship. It states in your scholarship letter that you cannot apply for a need-based grant or negotiate your merit scholarship.

I applied mid-December, got my status checker on January 20, and am still waiting to hear. I have a feeling it varies person-to-person. Hoping mine is a "still waiting to see if we like you" delay that will culminate in an acceptance rather than a spot on the waitlist.

Based on the last two years of LSN, it looks pretty dismal for those of us who haven't heard yet--unless you have truly stellar numbers or are in state.

It seems to me like they have been SUPER slow. I guess WL mostly comes out in March?

From last year, a large batch of WL came out the last week of Feb. So I expect the first round of WL comes out this Friday.

Hard to say if they are going slower this year than last.

that said, a MASSIVE BUM LOAD of waitlists came out on the 26th last year, which would correlate to the 25th this year... aka friday.

Thanks!!! It's definitely way at the top of my list, and any kind of schol. offer has serious potential to push it over the top :)

Just received the big packet in the mail today and going through the materials...not sure if I'll be able to make it over for an ASW, but we'll see!
Come to Michigan, fellow Hoya! (Hoping for big scholly money for you)

I hope not. I mean at this point, they already have a general picture of their applicant pool, and Michigan didn't extend thier app deadline.

I received a fee waiver late in the cycle, so I just decided to apply for a year deferral. In response, they dinged me, but they gave me a letter with an everlasting fee waiver. I smiled when I read the letter.

I'm guessing a fee waiver that doesn't expire should he/she want to apply next year or the year after....? Weird

Law school numbers, I assume. If you don't know about it, it's a great resource for tracking cycles!

Yes, any merit scholarship. It states in your scholarship letter that you cannot apply for a need-based grant or negotiate your merit scholarship.
For the record: I went back and checked my scholarship letter and it specifically says I may qualify for additional need-based aid. Maybe there's an amount cutoff?
