I think by complete, she meant your finaid file is complete. Cornell finaid sheet, Fafsa, etc.jimmy_dean wrote:i just spoke with someone in the financial aid office about finaid packet timing. she said that once one's file is complete (which i assume means a decision has been rendered?), the turnaround time from the committee is about a week. i got a decision five days ago and really need to make a choice by 4/15, so i hope they get it to me this week.

If I don't get off the WL at Michigan and I come off of reserve at Cornell, then I would.
It should be noted though, that my parents would pretty much cover COA. Still scary, but oh well.

If the citizenship thing is true, then hopefully there is good news for me soon.

What's the longest anyone has had to wait for their file to go complete? I've been sitting at verifying materials for over 7 weeks now.

That's the longest I've seen. I think you'd be justified in calling and asking for an update.yodamiked wrote:What's the longest anyone has had to wait for their file to go complete? I've been sitting at verifying materials for over 7 weeks now.

My app took a lil over 6 weeks to go complete to give you a little frame. I did call them 3x over those 6 weeks though and they would usually tell me which day of apps they were currently verifying.SteelPenguin wrote:That's the longest I've seen. Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Ok thanks. I've emailed them twice over the last couple of weeks but received absolutely no response. Considering how well other schools have communicated with me, not overly impressed with the complete lack of response I'm getting from Cornell. I might try calling this week and see if I get a better reaction. At this point I'm starting to doubt I'd want to go there....Rlabo wrote:My app took a lil over 6 weeks to go complete to give you a little frame. It is not. I think it's just another paranoid speculation by we neurotic applicants that makes us feel like we are in more control of this process then we really are.NoMistakes wrote:I dont think the citizenship update is a signal...I have been complete since 2/21 and that was after a month file review...hopefully im wrong...lol

Do decisions typically slow down in April until after first deposits are due?
