And...
Waitlist. Probably going to withdraw. Anyone know if they rank the waitlist/how likely it is to get in off the waitlist?

Also rejected via email today. Not my top choice but considering it was my 3rd rejection in a row it stung.

Replied to your post in another thread, but there was a second round on March 2. I would guess that there will be another round after April 2 though.PopTorts13 wrote:So there hasnt been a second round of rubies yet? Whats up with that? Any predictions if and when they will roll out?
A related question- the Ruby letter says that if we accept, we need to withdraw from all other schools where we've been accepted and where we have outstanding applications (excluding waitlists). I haven't heard back from Yale, which I'm pretty sure is the only school I might attend over the Ruby. It seems like some people last year were granted extensions, but this year's letter seems pretty firm on the April 2 date. Any other Ruby recipients in a similar situation?

Any idea what you're going to do? I guess we still have a few more weeks, but it is difficult to make a decision without knowing admissions and financial aid decisions at other schools...nametaken wrote:Yup. Seems like Asha's latest blog post was aimed squarely at Chicago. Ouch.

Scam? No. She said it her self, applicants need to read carefully and understand guidelines. If one can't accomplish those simple tasks...good luck at law school.Ti Malice wrote:Seems like Asha's latest blog post was aimed squarely at Chicago. Ouch.

Is it realistic to expect applicants to assume that a school's policies are incongruous with LSAC guidelines? Isn't the onus really on the schools?PopTorts13 wrote:Scam? Obviously if the information is readily available, then absolutely it's on the student to read carefully and understand the guidelines. Are those guidelines posted somewhere (besides that blog) that an applicant would see them?

yeah. http://www.lsac.org/lsacresources/Publi ... oodadm.pdf was the first google result when I searched "law school application withdrawal rules lsac"whenwin wrote:Is it realistic to expect applicants to assume that a school's policies are incongruous with LSAC guidelines? Right but if you take out the "lsac" from your search, that doesn't show up. I guess I am assuming people go to the schools for information on depositing/withdrawing, not LSAC. Maybe that assumption is wrong.JamMasterJ wrote:yeah. http://www.lsac.org/lsacresources/Publi ... oodadm.pdf was the first google result when I searched "law school application withdrawal rules lsac"whenwin wrote:Is it realistic to expect applicants to assume that a school's policies are incongruous with LSAC guidelines? I asked spoke to Chicago's dean of admissions in person and asked her if we're required to withdraw pending applications when we commit to Chicago. As I suspected, the answer is no.

I mistakenly thought I had withdrawn, but I got an email yesterday indicating there would be waitlist movement this week and asking if I was still interested in attending. I figured out my earlier RC fail and withdrew officially this morning, good luck all.

Got in. Seriously cried because in a weird way I was totally devastated. Had I gotten in at the beginning of my cycle when I originally applied, I would have gone without reservation. But now I've made a bunch of ties in Virginia...
So obviously, if I get aid from Chicago I will go. Though I don't know how likely that is given the fact I'm a waitlister. But what would you guys do in my position? I want to end up working in the Midwest. If both Chicago and UVA at sticker which would you pick?
