H should really get to giving fall interviews js2s before giving out js1s (just kidding, I would welcome a js2 even if it came a day before orientation)

They'll get to us when they get to us. That said, another round would certainly be welcome.Pozzo wrote:+1curry1 wrote:H should really get to giving fall interviews js2s before giving out js1s (just kidding, I would welcome a js2 even if it came a day before orientation)
Also, if it pleases the court, I noticed that the stretch from 3/9-11 last year was full of dings, JS1, and JS2s. We've had two of the three since Monday. A JS2 wave would be fitting.

What are the chances you get a JS2 after JS1? 75%? And I'm guessing that percentage varies based on your numbers, right?

Yes, to a certain extent, but I don't think it makes sense to evaluate individual cases using the aggregate statistic that JS and TR gave in their interviews. When Pozzo set my anxiety through the roof by pointing out the unfortunate outcomes of two very high scoring/grading JS1s who were ultimately rejected, he also, albeit inadvertently, forced me to look at the situation in a less myopic way. 25% of the class is at or below the 25ths for at least GPA or LSAT, but they still received JS2s. Obsessing over that statistic will just prolong the wait.sphyrnidae13 wrote:It's all a matter of perspectiveSmc1994 wrote:We spend too much time on this question.sphyrnidae13 wrote:What are the chances you get a JS2 after JS1? 75%? Anyone know what questions they ask for JS1? Tried searching but couldn't wade through 100+ of responses.

Are there any re-applicants who've received a JS1?
Congratulations to all of you who got JS1! Future JS1-ers, if you could share your complete dates, I think we in the waiting room would be very grateful! Thank you.

I did some wading yesterday and it seemed like some were something like:GorillaWarfare wrote:Anyone know what questions they ask for JS1? Tried searching but couldn't wade through 100+ of responses.
Talk about a conversation with someone who had a different view than yours, what role do you play in a group, and a time you had to revise a plan of action
Not sure those are exact. Also seemed like some people (but not many?) had why law/harvard.
Would appreciate other people jumping in here though! (Also preparing for a JS1)

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I think they generally ask questions about things your resume, how you work in a group, and what you plan to be involved in at Harvard/why HarvardGorillaWarfare wrote:Anyone know what questions they ask for JS1? Tried searching but couldn't wade through 100+ of responses.
Edit: in my JS1 they asked about one of my experiences, my main takeaway from undergrad, how I work in a group, a time when I disagreed with people I worked with and how we solved it, and why Harvard. I definitely recommend knowing some clinics, classes, or professors you're interested in

To echo what others have said: I was asked about a time I had to talk to someone I strongly disagreed with and how I handled the situation as well as how I work in groups.
I was also asked about my undergrad thesis and my current job.
