Oh, good lord. I just sent my info sheet today. I was hoping for something to compete with NU's offer that I have to respond to by the 12th.kdb wrote:FAFSA/need access complete in mid-February, specific Cornell financial aid sheet sent in early/mid March.toothbrush wrote:How long are y'all waiting since submitting fa materials

Tell 'em you have a deadline, most of the time schools will respond to that.TripTrip wrote:Oh, good lord. I just sent my info sheet today. So... any predictions for post Easter movement? I'm afraid that they were holding on to waitlists/dings until right after Easter.

Why no rejections/WL close to JCs date for resurrection?SteelPenguin wrote:So... any predictions for post Easter movement? I'm afraid that they were holding on to waitlists/dings until right after Easter.

I'm kind of nervous that I missed the first batch of acceptances since I went UR2. As far as why no rejections, I picture the lovely folks in Ithaca deciding not to ruin people's holiday weekend with dings. Although, going by that logic, we might not get dings until after Passover ends on Tuesday.JayJones78 wrote:Why no rejections/WL close to JCs date for resurrection?SteelPenguin wrote:So... any predictions for post Easter movement? I think my citizenship has been correct for a while now.

I just heard that if it changed to USA (mine did on Friday) that it means a likely chance you're accepted. Don't know if this is valid though.

EDIT: Day 8 of UR2, checking in. Still no sign of movement. Somebody help me.
I don't think the citizenship thing is correct for Cornell. I'm pretty sure I've had my address correct since before I went UR, or at least before UR2.

Lots of people had to wait months and months, checking in every day to tell us you're still UR won't make the decision come any faster.SteelPenguin wrote:EDIT: Day 8 of UR2, checking in. Still no sign of movement. Somebody help me.

It's okay to be a little anxious...but chill. You have some decent options at this point and Cornell should be letting you know of their decision very soon.SteelPenguin wrote:Day 8 of UR2, checking in. Still no sign of movement. Somebody help me.

Just saying its normal to be UR for a long time. NYU took 5 months of multiple URs to reject me. I applied to Columbia in November and they still won't give me my inevitable D.SteelPenguin wrote:I'm sorry, was this annoying you? re-reading it, it comes across as far more impatient and desperate than I intended it to, my mistake.
Anyway, when are most students' first deposit due? April 15 for Cornell?

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
i just spoke with someone in the financial aid office about finaid packet timing. she said that once one's file is complete (which i assume means a decision has been rendered?), the turnaround time from the committee is about a week. i got a decision five days ago and really need to make a choice by 4/15, so i hope they get it to me this week.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
