ding via email. expected to be pretty bummed, but to be honest, i'm relieved it's not a wl -- cycle's over! headed to cambridge and thrilled about it. best of luck to any on the WL or still waiting to hear. i can now out myself as a yale UG and say that new haven's wonderful and yale is a fantastic place to spend time in any capacity for three years. i'll miss it, but it's time to move on!

Sorry to hear, but you will have fun in Cambridge. People in academia frenquently say a change of perspective is good for one's academic career. I am sure you will appreciate the opportunity to study at the other wonderful institution.

wtf in a PM to me not five minutes ago you were 90% sure you were going! This can only mean that something in the last five minutes caused your willingness to go to decrease by ten percent! Was it the karaoke? You don't have to sing, I'm not going to.

I think it's just like a decrease from 50% sold on the ASW to 25% sold would be a 50% decrease.

Oh, and BioEBear, just remember that you'll be much healthier in the Bay Area climate than in damp New Haven.

You're both right: it was a 10 percentage point drop and a drop of 11%. Dealing with percentage changes of percentages is just nasty stuff...

Bio, take it easy and get better! I think had the same thing a week back and it hung around way too long b/c I didn't give it proper attention. Then hop on a plane and join us!

Fortunately the karaoke is very easily avoided for those who want to - I think I hung out upstairs (it's two levels) the whole time last year. Not surprisingly, more current students than new students do it, since they've got less to lose!
