I did notice via TLS that there was someone last year (ED, deferred) who got in sometime between Feb. 8th and March 21st (based on post history, that's all I could determine; yes, I'm fucking crazy).

in other words, we might have a chance at hearing before dooms-week in April.
can anyone suggest an alternative method of data collection for this? should I try myLSN? I wish I could filter on LSN by deferred---> accepted.

Good job. Luv u.

So if I applied in October and still haven't heard anything (other than the "be patient" email) I'm pretty much just waiting to be waitlisted, right?

Just got off the phone with an NYU alum the school put me in contact with because we had similar interests (slash they figured out she has my DREAM JOB). Super great convo and really nice to hear from someone who went there, but isn't a current student or directly affiliated with admissions. Quite frankly, it was nice to talk to someone who told me that she left school with 6 figures of debt, is doing PI work she loves, and LRAP has got her back. Calms my nerves (a bit)

I highly recommend talking to the people schools put you in contact with to get their perspectives!

How did you get hooked up with that? I'd love to be put in contact with someone!

After I was admitted, I got a few e-mails from current students, professors, and alum who were willing to answer any questions. I didn't ask NYU to send them my way--they just did! But I bet if you e-mailed admissions and asked to be put into contact with someone they would surely help you out :)

I didn't check my NYU status til recently but it's UR 2/20. Trying to figure out if that's 1 or 2. I'm seeing most people with 2/20 as an UR date were UR2 - but are there any UR1s hangin' out?

When did you apply? It seems that most people go UR1 the same day or shortly after their application is complete.

Around the start of February - unfortunately had some personal issues that made me a late applicant. I'm guessing UR1 then. Thanks!

I am also a Feb applicant - and I am at UR1 02/15. I watch my tracker daily - and no change. So more than likely, you're UR1 as well.

Just realized my TLS name kind of rhymes with AnBryce. Definitely should have included that in my essay. I'm p sure that's an instant admit situation right there.

I applied 2/6, UR 1 2/10, UR 2 2/24, so you could be UR 2 depending on when exactly you applied

Been UR1 since 1/19. Between that and a Penn WL, it's not looking too good.

UR2 since 1/9. Invitations for the scholarship I was interested in were sent in mid-February.

I just can't stay emotionally invested anymore -- even if they admit me, I don't think I can justify attending at sticker. :(

UR1 1/5 for me, and far more WL and Dings this cycle than acceptances.

Please NYU...

UR1 11/30, and it will be really hard for me to think about going after getting into my dream school back in December and having plenty of time to fall in love with it

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
