Someone make a meme of this pleasedakure wrote:I've read hundreds of LOCI's and you can really tell the difference between genuine ones and fake ones.
With that said, yes, it's definitely a good idea to get someone to review your LOCI and put some actual thought into it.

Well, I can officially be part of this thread now. I'd be surprised if I got in, to be honest, but here's hoping

Heyo. Got the email, too. Probably a stupid question but how exactly does one submit another supplemental essay after the LSAC app has already been transmitted? Do you just email it to admissions?

Too bad mentioning that my sister just got accepted to Mich for undergrad isn't legitimate material for a LOCI...

No, I got nothing. (I did have an email correspondence with them a few backs though. They asked me what I had been doing since graduation. I replied to them and they told me "this is exactly what we were looking for", so I dunno what today's radio silence means).
Does anyone?

Having family (especially a younger sister) in the area is definitely reason to go to Michigan. Tell them.dakure wrote:I think it might be.hal20 wrote:Too bad mentioning that my sister just got accepted to Mich for undergrad isn't legitimate material for a LOCI...

Is this actually something of value as I have a younger sister who is currently a freshman at Michigan?Campagnolo wrote:Having family (especially a younger sister) in the area is definitely reason to go to Michigan. Yes. Use this information to convince the reader that you're likely to attend if admitted.wendys27 wrote:Is this actually something of value as I have a younger sister who is currently a freshman at Michigan?Campagnolo wrote:Having family (especially a younger sister) in the area is definitely reason to go to Michigan. The family angle was essentially my entire Why Michigan.
I did send a quick reply to today's awesome e-mail, pointing out my increased LSAT and that Michigan is basically still my top choice. I don't think going to formal LOCI level is something I'm going to honestly consider until I get a waitlist.
