I went complete on Friday, applied a week ago. My numbers: 164/3.9 with strong softs-study abroad in developing country, student body prez, and 2 years professional experience working for a Congressman, although there are no strong connections to NYC in my app. I applied to the FT program; am I looking like a weak admit, a waitlist, or borderline reject?

based on LSN, id say moderate admit. definitely not reject.

edited to add moderate because thus far, no one with those #s has been WL or rejected but some people last year were WL

In that case, I may allow myself a little hope and become a regular here

Bummer. Luckily we missed out on this last one.

See the problem is, I have class on Thursday. Where I live, they never plow! So I'll be trekking to class, on my one hour commute, in a foot and a half of snow, so miserable!

and where I live they only shut down if the state starts complaining. So my 15 minute commute would become a 1.5 hour commute. And I'd be very grouchy, as being late for work does that to me... almost as much as the walk from/to the parking lot and the cleaning off of the car does.

I already have to take the state's most dangerous highway, and as much as I enjoy a good snow storm, I could do without the extra hassle.

I promise if we're all snowed in, I'll come up with a ton of amusing quotes to keep us NOT thinking about admissions, K?

Haha, yeah, well I'm sitting in the kitchen cooking and stirring a pot, and I already finished a book today...and played guitar...and watched a movie...and ran around in the snow...so yeah...why not hang out online for a bit?

"Watchmen," by Alan Moore. It's my first graphic novel and I was impressed. Really, really dense and interesting story. Before that I read "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" by Muriel Barbery.

I recently ordered 3 law prep books, Catcher in the Rye (never read it believe it or not), and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks which has a VERY fascinating summary and based on a true story!

Status checker will say one of the following things (not sure of exact wording): "Congratulations you have been admitted!" "Unfortunately you have been denied," or "your file has been waitlisted." It first says, "Application Complete." There is no "Decision Rendered" or "Decision Mailed," etc. Straight from complete to whatever the decision is.
