$45k scholly offer. Applied for (and clearly will not receive) the RTK. Would have loved to have been part of the RTK program, but Boston awaits. Happy trails, NYUers.

Best of luck at Harvard!zidane13 wrote:$45k scholly offer. Applied for (and clearly will not receive) the RTK. Would have loved to have been part of the RTK program, but Boston awaits. Happy trails, NYUers.
I'm overly optimistic that me not hearing anything yet today means I'm still somehow slightly barely maybe being considered for RTK.

In the same boat- I feel like I'm being kept on the RTK hook only to get a huge let down soon. I definitely don't want to get my hopes up.

Received NYU financial notification. $0. I really want NYU, but sticker would be tough. Is trying to negotiate my only option at this point? My only other offer (so far) is 90k from UCLA. My numbers are 172/3.8.

I can't believe how stingy NYU is being with everyone who has great numbers, particularly at/above both medians. For all of our discussion about schools being desperate to maintain medians, NYU sure doesn't seem to be trying very hard.Goodman wrote:Received NYU financial notification. $0. 37.5K award total (the 15/15/7.5 package that a few other people on the thread have gotten). It's just now fully hitting me how much I'm going to have to take out in loans. I'll be going into PI and taking advantage of LRAP, but...
I wanted RTK SO bad. Not even being called back to interview is kind of devastating. (Although I read through the bios of current RTK scholars and did find myself quite underqualified by comparision...I was still holding out hope).
On the bright side, I still got some grant aid!

Congrats to all the scholarship $$ today!
Another day passes without any financial aid notification --despite the fact that they've already contacted a few IILJ finalists. #confused #ijustwantmoney #dopeopledothisonTLS?

Fellow RTK applicants, any good news on your end? I'm curious to see if the fact that zidane13 and I heard back in the negative means that all the offers have gone out. Rooting for all of you!

I applied for RTK and have not received anything. I'm cautiously taking this as a positive sign (though honestly trying to be rational here) since cwid1391 got in on the same day as me last week and already heard back today regarding scholarships.maggielizer wrote:Fellow RTK applicants, any good news on your end? Also, congrats on getting a great scholarship after an ED acceptance!

So if we have not heard if we are accepted yet (UR2 11/x), can we assume we will not be considered for RTK?

Re: NYU C/O 2016 Applicants Thread!!! (Woooooo!!!!!)
In reality it might be the case that if you're not accepted by mid-March or something you've missed the window for consideration, but their "official" answer in the FAQ is:Rory19 wrote:So if we have not heard if we are accepted yet (UR2 11/x), can we assume we will not be considered for RTK?
Q: What happens if I am not admitted until after the interview date?
A: Only students admitted to the School of Law prior to the interview date of Saturday, April 6, 2013, are eligible for the scholarships.

Wait, so they send rejection letters for the named scholarships if you're not chosen for an interview?

Also, do people know how willing NYU is to negotiate scholarships, and what offers they'll consider?

If you get a financial aid offer w/o an interview, that's sort of like a rejection letter, but yeah, at least last year once they sent out all interview requests they sent an email to the rest of the people saying that all the finalists have been contacted [and you weren't one of them].kertz wrote:Wait, so they send rejection letters for the named scholarships if you're not chosen for an interview?

I had no idea! Did you have to fill out financial aid forms in order for these other offers to be made?ph5354a wrote:If you get a financial aid offer w/o an interview, that's sort of like a rejection letter, but yeah, at least last year once they sent out all interview requests they sent an email to the rest of the people saying that all the finalists have been contacted [and you weren't one of them].kertz wrote:Wait, so they send rejection letters for the named scholarships if you're not chosen for an interview?
