Maybe Penn has a more extensive (and consequently, slower) process? I applied to Columbia about a month after Penn, and received my acceptance nearly a month ago. Not sure if I just got a random acceptance today, or if it'll be one of those days--I'm pretty sure there are a couple of other folks in the thread with second UR dates around mine.

<Edit: Also, I just actually READ the email, which said that I should have received a phone call by now, but like an idiot, I didn't put my phone number in my app, so obviously that doesn't apply>

I emailed them to make sure that nothing was missing from my application (yeah, I was one of THOSE people), and they were like... chillax, we'll get back to you soon. I am utterly perplexed as to why they haven't waitlisted me or given me an official hold. Even Harvard and Columbia got back to me with holds! My numbers are very much within Penn's range. Hmm.

Me too azgirl, 12/6 forever and ever.

How Penn chooses which files to review:

Harry Potter, of course, represents the admissions committee at Penn, while the Dursleys represent us hopeful applicants, looking on in confusion and fear.

If you don't mind me asking, were you in the 75th percentile for GPA or LSAT?

Oh, crap! Penn is supposed to send somewhat personalized dings, right? Now I'm kind of mad I got waitlisted and will never know what they have to say about my app...

Added to the list of waiting. Not a list I want to be on, so probably withdrawing.

I'm a broken record with the "I'm stuck at 1/17 UCR" shit. So all I have to say is fuck you Penn; I'm gearing up for an epic ding bar post that will blow the nads off your first born...
