Are we all going to waitlist city?

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
This is my question also. And if we are. What is the likelihood that we get off it? Or will we be left to wallow in our own waitlistiness...kennethellenparcell wrote:Are we all going to waitlist city?
What they should do is have some sort of competition where all people on the waitlist are put in a room, and whoever lasts the longest without leaving gets in... just a thought. Ping pong tournament?

Even a waitlist from NYU to end my cycle would make me pretty happy.

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
I actually am wondering if I might like reject city better than waitlist city... I mean, waitlist city is just across the river from reject city and it seems that everyone from waitlist city eventually ends up in reject city anyway.kennethellenparcell wrote:cogitoergosum wrote:New York City > Waitlist City > Reject City.kennethellenparcell wrote:Are we all going to waitlist city?

You could do both with slightly different slants.moreprejthanprob wrote:law2015 wrote:Do you guys think a LOCI is better before hearing back or after?
Fwiw people keep mentioning that NYU uses its waitlist quite a bit, so hopefully if any of you end up there you'll still be coming next fall!

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
Last year the WL was used a decent amount. The year before NYU actually had an abnormally large class, so I doubt it was used much. I would anticipate a pretty decent amount of use this year because of the apparent decrease in applicants.snehpets wrote: Fwiw people keep mentioning that NYU uses its waitlist quite a bit, so hopefully if any of you end up there you'll still be coming next fall!

I have to keep reminding myself of this over and over, or else I start thinking about having to reapply next yearbirdlaw117 wrote:Last year the WL was used a decent amount. Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
Good luck to all of you!
I really lucked out with NYU...applied late in the cycle (end of January) and they called me on Valentines' Day (best v-day present ever? I think so). I was at the low end of the median LSAT range though so don't lose hope, people. I'm thinking it must be the fact that one of my majors is Chinese, and they are trying to emphasize their Chinese law stuff...or they needed some diversity from Oklahoma...because I got waitlisted at a TON of other T14s.
Hope to see you guys next year!

I definitely will, especially now that I probably won't be making it in time for an ASWbirdlaw117 wrote:Hang in there man.
