Yep. In the 4/1 batch, there were WL and admits. No denies posted on here or LSN.

It means you might have to wait a couple more hours to find out. I haven't even gotten the WL email yet, so I assume it JUST updated.

This is what I need to know. Did you negotiate yet? I haven't gotten my offer from SC yet, but am planning on using my 100k from Wash U as a bargaining chip. I know no one on here has gotten more than 90k so far, but I need them to at least get me close to the 1/2 that Irvine offered me.

I don't know why they'd feel compelled to match Irvine. Even WUSTL is in St. Louis, and no where near LA. I want LA, but can I justify with the COL, 80k more in debt for law school?

I guess I presumed they would feel compelled to match Wash U because they are ranked the same; I didn't think geographical location would play into it. And I didn't mean that I am going to present UCI as a bargaining chip. I just meant that it's going to be hard to go to SC if I can go to UCI for less.

Where do you want to work? If you're set on working in the midwest, then go to Wash U. But if you want to work anyplace else, there really isn't a debate. Especially if you're thinking Big Law. It's an investment, not a debt. You'll reap the gains for the rest of your life.

Btw will USC care about Notre Dame, Minnesota or Emory?

Maybe Minnie or Emory, but probably not UND. Also depends on how much they offered you.

Waitlists show up on the status checker. So if it says DF there is a letter in the mail (or soon to be in the mail).

Someone correct me if this isn't the case anymore, but this was the case earlier in the cycle.

Oh, I must have confused USC with UCLA. Have people in the LA area been getting their letters same day as DF, or days after?

Waitlisted today after being in the IR 4/7 group yesterday. This is a pretty disappointing move by my alma mater. Definitely thought I was qualified for admission and thought being an alum would give me a slight boost as well. Oh well, their loss, I'll be going to UCLA.

After talking with people at Harvard and USC, which strike me as two schools one would think would be loyal to their alumni (who are fiercely loyal to their alma mater), I have come to believe that the law school admission process is very internalized.
