I think this will make for a great lsat correlation/causation question.
I will join the party once I get over having to resize my cat avatar. Let's show JS some cat love + how this thread is a mine of great future lawyers.
There have also been at least one (I want to say two) HYS sweeps from people with cat avatars

To lurkers etc: sorry for hijacking this thread with goofy posts about animals, real and imaginary. I've had a very long week and it's only Wednesday, and this has been a fun distraction. You may now return to your regularly scheduled anxiety

Edit: so that was 2 pages of yummy JS2 news and 3 pages on the effects of the catvatar and showing off our new schtuff. Very impressed with the harvard 2018 class to-be!

One of my friends is on the verge of completing a YHS sweep (has Yale and Harvard under her belt), but no cat avatar. She does have an "adorable" (read: small and rodent-esque) dog, though.

No HYS acceptances yet, but I'll be damned if I let the cats take over.

No-one from todays wave or yesterdays wave was international, right?
What do y'all think of this theory: The past three days was all one big wave - they had decided who to admit prior, and just spaced out the calls/emails due to the sheer number of calls to be made. It seems like there was a whole bunch of e-mails at the beginning of the 2/2 wave, and then not again which is why I'm saying this. Maybe this is really obvious and I'm only realizing it now though.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Update for todays wave:
In total, we have had 15 JS1 waves and 5 JS2 waves. The following is the amount of people within each JS1 wave who has received a JS2. I'm doing this by interview invitation date.
Oct 27: 7 of 11 (11 JS1s were reported in this wave, and 7 have now reported JS2s)
Oct 31: 6 of 7
Nov 3: 5 of 7
Nov 10: 12 of 14
Nov 14: 4 of 5
Nov 24: 8 of 18
Dec 4: 5 of 10
Dec 12: 2 of 4
Dec 15: 4 of 5
Dec 24: 12 of 20
Jan 6: 1 of 2
Jan 8: 6 of 16
Jan 23: 0 of 1
Jan 26: 0 of 5
Feb 2: 0 of 2
Interestingly enough, the 11/10 and 12/15 waves are complete! 12 acceptances and 2 rejections for 11/10, and 4 acceptances and 1 rejection for 12/15. Of course there are definitely people who aren't captured in this thread, but thought it was worth mentioning.
Of the 11 JS2s today, 1 had an invitation in October, 3 in November, 6 in December, and 1 in January. 6 of the 10 also had cat avatars. lol
ETA new info

Well I usually lurk, but I think I can be helpful here. Got the email yesterday. I'm not an international student, although I do live abroad.kadyevna wrote:anyone got an email in the last two days? also, do canadians get a call or email??qwertyTLS wrote:No-one from todays wave or yesterdays wave was international, right?
