You guys think it would be viable to commute via bike at all during school months?

I know in Mass it's usually a terrible choice, but I would love to try and save on travel expenses!

Looking at the weather for ASW, looks like a solid 15 degrees nicer then PA at the moment

Spring and Fall are really beautiful and temperate here. There would probably be a few weeks in winter where commuting by bike would be impossible or absolutely miserable.

I would say it really depends on how close to campus you live too.

Most of the time you will be fine on a bike. The winters are typically as awful as this one has been, and if you live close enough to school you should be good year-round. It doesn't start to get really cold until the end of November, and starts warming up in the beginning of March. Snow usually isn't present in large enough amounts to be an issue.

ETA: Coincidentally, I just bought one of these hogs for $5 at a rummage sale, and I'm totally stoked about it.
