congrats, grumbles! Great news! Didn't you also get Penn today or am I imagining things?sgtgrumbles wrote:Accepted! So thrilled right now!sgtgrumbles wrote:OMFG, I spoke too soon...roommate just texted me to say I got a purple envelope. I'm RD, under review 12/7, LSAT near 75th, GPA near 25th.... am I in? Status checker is still at UR. The only rejection has been ED, right? I told the roomie not to open it. The next two hours at work would be unbearable if I got dinged.
174 LSAT (first time), just under 3.6, Regular Decision, UR 12/7 and my status still says "application under review."
I hoped NYU would give me a present for my birthday later this week and they delivered!

Interesting note for some people, I'm sure: I'd always heard that NYU doesn't like multiple LSATs. I don't know if it's true or not, but I'm a 165/170/173 and 3.77.

Re: NYU 2011
so it seems like they're starting to dip into non auto-admits but still people with one # above median (even if multiple LSATs)..wonder if they'll ever dip a liiiiiiiil lower!?!
Also, is everyone UR Nov or earlier still purple envelope-less?

I'm a threepeater with two scores and an eight point gap between the two. I really, really, really strongly suspect that they don't care overmuch how many times you've taken the test.

In the same boat with three LSAT scores. I don't really think they'll care at all. With less people taking the LSAT they will have to try to get as many high scores as they can to keep their medians, retake or not. It might affect scholarship amounts though.teaadntoast wrote:+ 1lzyovrachievr wrote: Interesting note for some people, I'm sure: I'd always heard that NYU doesn't like multiple LSATs. Nothing here in DC (UR Nov.). Not necessarily expecting anything, but if anything were sent in this last batch, I'm thinking it probably wouldn't arrive until tomorrow anyway.

Do we think they've thrown out updating to "Decision Letter Sent?" Or are those who reported no change in their UR status exceptions to the norm?

But maybe NYU will do something newer, crazier, more cutting edge next year, thus necessitating a newer, crazier precedent cat.

Re: NYU 2011
So, I have seen a lot of people get in with no status checker update. As a 12/15 UR (was 11/15) EDer, I am wondering if anyone has gotten rejected/held without a status checker update. I.E, still says under review but "out"??

I am almost lame enough to go make a precedent cat tee. We could swarm law school campuses next fall with precedent cat shirts.starrydreamz3 wrote:I don't care if I sweep YHS, creating precedent cat will be the highlight of my cycle and my greatest legacy.r6_philly wrote:The poor 2011 applicants can only envy the use of precendent cat...

As a matter of fact, if I get accepted I may just wear something to ASW. At least a button.

Please do not tempt the precedent cat... he is waiting to pounce. Didn't dulcatis make a spreadsheet a while back with submit/notification dates.

Any splitters know their fate? / Anyone complete as of Nov 4 news? / Any rejections?
My stats are 3.1 / 174, 4 years out of school, looking for people like me to compare...

No word from Penn yet, though. I'm actually stuck at complete, hoping to go under review soon.
