Pathetic but serious question: wth should a girl from CA pack to wear and not freeze. Assume I have no winter clothes and assume stores here do not sell winter clothes. TYIA.

Hopefully it will warm up at least a bit by this weekend. But just bring some jeans and a hoodie and you should be ok. I think it supposed to get up to like the 40's or 50's, but you probably should double check that.

As a Californian transplanted on the East Coast, I can tell you that 40's -50's is freezing to a SoCal gal...

Tbf that's our low pretty regularly in the winter. It's been an oddly warm one this year for sure, but I spent time in MA, so the weather this weekend actually looks ok... But y'all are making me wonder wth I'm thinking about leaving so cal lol

Perhaps not worse, but Missouri has 2 or 3 of the top 10 most various weather towns in the country. It's certainly a new level for most out of state folks.

I looked through ~15 pages of this thread, but it's so random that is was hard to consistently gauge what to think. I specifically am worried about my lack of questions. Any questions I had I found by just researching on the website. I don't want to ask Qs I already know the answers too, either, because I don't want them to think I don't know how to navigate a website. I was planning on asking what St. Louis is like, and how WUSTL is with NY BigLaw placement.

Tucson chiming in. Will be a beautiful day today in the desert with temperatures in the high 70's. Clear and sunny skies. Low 80's over the weekend as I head to Scottsdale for Spring Training. Enjoy your shit weather, rest of the country.

1 or 2 questions like that will be fine. It's a short interview. Maybe try being more specific about what you want to know about STL.

These interviews are super laid back, so just relax and get through it. Good luck!

I didn't really ask any questions other than ones that popped into my head when she was describing the Wash U offerings, and it seemed to work. In fact, I said, "Well I learned a lot from the website, and that answered most of the questions I had." This seemed to be an acceptable answer.

It's been said many times ITT, but it bears repeating: Just relax, enjoy the conversation, and learn something about the school in your interview. The adcomms are extremely nice and you shouldn't worry at all (even though you will).

My file is still under review since january. I have not been offered an interview since that time. Should i give up?

Definitely not. As others have reported, the admissions office is a little backed up, but things are moving. Wash U is accepting applicants with June LSATs this year. You're still good.

I would suggest waiting until at least late March with no movement before calling up and asking about your status.
