You mean you didn't get on the "Special" Preferred Waitlist either? Bummer.
How ridiculous is that statement.
"[your name has been placed] in a special group within our Preferred Waiting List."
Georgetown's the only T14 I've heard back from so far, and now I'm worried. Maybe because I submitted in December? Maybe because I didn't write a "Why Georgetown"?
You bastard you lied to me

EDIT: FWIW I got regular preferred and didn't write Why GTown.
Yeah, I didn't read the previous posts, so I wasn't aware of the distinction. Still pretty disheartening.
FWIW with your LSAT score it's probably a straight up YP.

Idk, I feel like I'm having one of the worst splitter cycles on TLS. It all good though, I'm keeping my chin up

Sorry bro. . . just read some of your other posts... can't believe your cycle... Feel bad for ya.

When does Georgetown start granting merit scholarships? I'm sure this question has already been asked, but I didn't find it elsewhere on the thread. I was accepted in early December but have yet to hear anything.

It takes you a year longer to graduate. Also, I've heard that PT programs don't carry the same weight as the FT programs, although you can transfer to FT im pretty sure.

So is the consensus that if you can generate an ASW username/password, that means you're definitely in? I was sent an e-mail with my username and password, but cannot use them to access the site yet. No official word via snail mail, either. Is it safe to assume that I'm in?
Also, to the post above me, I went to an open house back in December, and an admissions officer there said that they very rarely (if at all) allow part-time students to transfer to the full-time program. I suspect it's because people were exploiting the difference in selectivity (as measured by LSAT/GPA medians) between the two programs.

Yes. You can't actually get into the site until 4 days after you generate your UN and PW.

Got WLed via email Friday, pretty surprised. They did say something about a special preferred waiting list or whatever in the email, does that actually mean anything? I figured it didn't but maybe I'm wrong. I'm really hoping it was for YP reasons (didn't write a why Georgetown but did interview) and not a major flaw in my application.

I think people are thinking that is YP... and, looking at your numbers, that is likely.

I can understand why you are freaking out, but you should wait for another week (at the very least).

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on here the past month or two-I'm finally deciding to post because maybe my experience will be helpful/ease some of your minds. I sent my app in the first week of December and I didn't hear a word from Georgetown until I got accepted last week. I was actually about to call and ask if my app was complete and try to get a status checker. So, if you're worrying about silence from Georgetown, there is definitely hope!

Thanks, TLSP and eaper! Just sent a notification to my interviewer thanking her for her time. I'll be attending the Mar 29-30 ASW, most likely. Anyone else planning on attending that one?
