Bobalou: Which e-mail address did you write to ask for an extension? I need to ask for one and I hope they grant it before the deadline. Thanks in advance.Bobalou wrote:I'm leaning towards Hofstra, I appealed for more scholarship $$$ and am waiting to see how that turns out. In case this helps anyone...they will give you a 7 day extension on the seat deposit if you email and ask.

Re: Hofstra 2013
I just made a call to Hofstra where I asked about their waitlist process. The lady who answered the phone was extremely nice about answering my questions. She basically told me that I should be receiving a waitlist letter (to which I will need to reply) over the next several days. She also explained that they would look to begin pulling people from the waitilist after they had a better idea of how many people put down seat deposits that are due on Thursday and the second deposits that are due in June. She said they would probably begin reviewing idividuals on the waitlist at the beginning of March and that the waitlist is not ranked.dannybang wrote:really surprised, but i was waitlisted at hofstra the other day. my lsat is below their 25%, and my gpa is slightly below their 75%. does anyone know how their waitlist works? i was going to call their office, but it seems a bit rude of me to ask such a question.
I asked her the likliehood of being pulled off the waitlist and she said they have already pulled a few people off of the list but it's hard for her to say at the moment.
I am not sure if you already know all of this( as it doesnt seem much different than the process employed at other schools) but I thought that I would share.

URM and waitlisted ... deciding on my tactics to get off the waitlist... LOCI or LSAT score addendum? I have a stellar application package besides the busted lsat scores of 140, 149

Has anyone done a campus visit? Do you know if they allow you to speak with an admissions counselor during the visit?
