I was RD. I was 161/3.08. I'm half South American (idk if you consider that URM). I also had a killer PS and GPA addendum.

Re: Northeastern 2010
In via snail mail on 1/21 with 8.5k/yr. Small, thick envelope
Went complete on 1/4
162; 3.38
My status checker is still stuck on "Complete file" so I nearly died of heart failure when I saw the letter. It's my first decision of this cycle so I'm pleased. Good luck guys.

I went complete on the 4th as well, with a slightly lower LSAT, and a higher GPA....I'm hoping for similar results.bceagles182 wrote:In via snail mail on 1/21 with 8.5k/yr. Small, thick envelope

Northeastern is confusing me...I have been accepted to Penn State and Villanova but I was deferred at Northeastern from EA to regular.

Re: Northeastern 2010
like many here, i am in with 8.5k plus 3k stipend (letter on 1/14). the real surprise was getting a decision ten days after submitting the app... i have only heard back from two others (in at maine, 25k at vt), but leaning toward nusl so far.

northeastern is the stingiest school ever considering their ranking and the cost of their tuition/living in boston, i am withdrawing today.

Suffolk is worse when it comes to that.gabewatch wrote:northeastern is the stingiest school ever considering their ranking and the cost of their tuition/living in boston, i am withdrawing today.

Re: Northeastern 2010
I'm really excited about the co-op program but I also have those reservations about incurring serious debt (even after the 8.5 a year) and the high cost of living in boston.
anyone care to share thoughts on whether or not NUSL is a good investment?

Thanks, it's been a really tough cycle for me so far, and I'm starting to get really disheartened. Oh well.sirchristaylor wrote:Withdrew the other day, so there's another spot open. Good luck!viro8 wrote:WL today via snail mail. FML

Re: Northeastern 2010
I think I might withdraw from Northeastern soon. I got more $$ from Temple which is a lot higher ranked...and I got a TON of money to other, lower ranked Boston schools.

Re: Northeastern 2010
You have quite an impressive undergrad GPA. I hope you get in--perhaps you should seek out one or two people to write letters of rec. that are specific to the school, and reiterate your interest through letters of your own. I am likely going to accept, but have to hear back from a few others. I personally know some biglaw first years from NUSL who have said some good things and some bad things, but clearly the school provides strong opportunities.viro8 wrote:Thanks, it's been a really tough cycle for me so far, and I'm starting to get really disheartened. Re: Northeastern 2010
Decision letter mailed today, complete on 1/4, it then went to complete 2/8, and it still says complete. Only under mailing did it say "decision mailed 2/10".
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
