I hate that blank space. Vandy is at the top of my list and the timeframe is starting to worry me. If they are going to break my heart, I wish they would just get it over with. I just hope we get decisions before the break or it will be a very unhappy New Year!

On a side note...Congrats to all those accepted!!!

The acceptance package is just filled with gobs of information, and it appears they provide a travel subsidy.

Interview held on 11/18, would highly recommend (mine was held within three days of requesting one) doing even via phone. It only took a half hour and was more of a pleasant conversation than a formal interview.

anyone who's been accepted yet currently abroad? wondering how long it'll take to get the mailing (/hopeful acceptance packet)... it sounds legendary. i love glossy brochures.

It was sent via priority mail (ten dollar postage) so it hopefully wouldn't take that long. They also provide a snazzy car decal.

i didnt interview and sent my app in september. i guess they didnt like the fact that i didnt sign up for the interview? i have no decision mailed date at all.

No - I did the interview ages ago, and my status checker is something like:
Submit: 9/15
Complete: 10/1
Interview: 10/10
Adcoms meet at bar to make fun of interviewee and comment on how hell will freeze before they admit him: 10/20

I didn't interview (though I haven't received the decision itself, just decision mailed 12/03), and I think some other people who have gotten in didn't interview either.

My heart literally skipped a beat when I saw that a decision had been mailed!! I absolutely loved my interviewer and we ended up talking for about an hour and a half which is the only reason I'm feeling optimistic right now... fingers crossed that its an acceptance because I'm not sure I could get in on numbers alone (166/3.9)
