My goodness, you guys are all worse than we were last year for worrying. Fordham uses its waitlist a lot. Myself, my roommate, two close friends in my section, and half of everyone else we know got in off the waitlist. One of the hardest working people in my section literally got in on the last day of orientation.

Also, you should sign up for the official tours at noon on Nov 23rd or Dec 7th. Those are the two I get to lead! I'm really happy they're letting me lead them as a 1L, and it's a huge honor.

I'm going to tour sometime next week as well. I live pretty close to NYC so I might try and hit 2 schools for tours early next week. Hell, we might even end up on the same tour.

I'm my honest opinion, we're probably going to find out in mid-late January. Some may even find out in early February. If I get mine by then, it better be an acceptance. My b-day is on the 8th. My deduction stems from looking at people's profiles on LSN who applied last year at around the same time that we are.

Fordham over USC? Better school, better weather, higher ranked. Unless you are from NY or, for some unfathomable reason, want to end up in NY, it's not even a reasonable question.

We should clarify that Mexican & Puerto Rican tend to get the true URM boost.
"Other Hispanic" may get a slight boost, but it isn't the regular URM boost.

No, but you can include a Diversity Statement to that effect.

Nope. I'm pretty sure the LGBT community is still pretty underrepresented in the legal world... I've worked at a NY firm that was rated high in diversity, but still had a small LGBT population.
