Anyone going to the law preview day this Friday? I really can't decide where I want to go in the fall, but I hope it can clear some things up.

For everyone who's been accepted, when is the seat deposit due? I'm trying to get an idea of when they will make their last round of decisions.

Their first one is due May 3rd and their second is due June 1st. So you still have a bit of time.

Can't make it this week, but I will be there in May. Let us know what you think.

Yeah I would like to hear how Law Preview Day goes. Since I went to UT undergrad and have been in Knoxville 6 years now, I am pretty familiar with not only the area but also the law school so I would like to know whether or not it would be worth taking off a day of work to attend.

Add me to the "In Review" list. I've been there since 3/15. No sign of activity since....

did anyone who was put on the waitlist's status change so that it is blank and no longer has the box that says a letter has been sent offering you a waitlist?

Re: In at Tennessee 2010
For all of those wondering about how law preview day went I just got back. The law school was pretty nice looking, which surprised me since I live only two blocks from the school and attending utk undergrad. I guess it's just because I find the regular campus so ugly. Anyway, although it was boring at times, it was really helpfull and everyone was nice. I would recommend going to one to make sure you like the school. I was considering Wake after they gave me a nice scholarship, but after going to their preview day, I came home and withdrew.Hodgy wrote:Yeah I would like to hear how Law Preview Day goes. Thanks for the info. I will definitely be there in May. Since you already live in Knoxville, maybe you can answer a housing question. How affordable/easy to rent is the situation near the law school? I am planning to move in late July and hoping to live as close as possible, within walking distance if possible.esettlem wrote:For all of those wondering about how law preview day went I just got back. I was accepted to Tennessee back in February, does anyone know if they'll be giving out more scholarships? They gave me a crappy 5k/yr one . . . which won't help too much with OOS tuition.

The housing close to the law school runs around $500 a month, however, it's primarily houses and not many decent apartment complexes. Personally though, I think it's crappy, def not the best part of town. Even though I live close now and enjoy walking to class, I am thinking of moving to somewhere in west knox and commuting, or possibly heading to the old city.

+100000000000. I love it! Go Vols! And I love that it happened against Ohio State. I go to Michigan now and there's nothing I like more than watching Michigan/Tennessee winning and Ohio State/Florida losing!esettlem wrote:Oh, and go vols. Elite 8 baby!

Re: In at Tennessee 2010
Finally got tired of the blank status checker and called.
At first I was told "it could mean we're close to a decision or it could mean nothing"
After she looked up my info she said that it went blank after I received the "Are you still interested?" email. I confirmed that I received that and responded I was still interested. She confirmed they rec'd my response but they didn't have a decision for me and to check again early next week.
So all of you with a blank status checker: It could mean they're close to/have made a decision or it could mean nothing at all.
Aren't you happy to have such a concrete and informative answer?

So these blanks and "are you interested" e-mails are for all of us in some random holding pattern? Strange.
