Re: USC 2010!
I went complete 11/11 and they began reviewing my app 12/18. I submitted a late addendum and exchanged some pleasantries with the adcom who received it... so maybe they're doing me a courtesy by reviewing and denying me early.

Nah, if you're URM and somewhat legacy, could be good news as likely as bad.jmhendri wrote:I went complete 11/11 and they began reviewing me app 12/18. How does a 3.8 become a 3.1 LSDAS? Ouch.

It would be more of a legacy situation if I got in then you know. My dad got into USC medicine off the waitlist with low grades, a record of improvement, and a slightly stronger MCAT score. (Same undergrad institution too)ruleser wrote:Nah, if you're URM and somewhat legacy, could be good news as likely as bad.jmhendri wrote:I went complete 11/11 and they began reviewing me app 12/18. I'll keep my fingers crossed but I am certainly not going to hold my breath.

Yeah, 3.83 degree GPA. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCSD after floating through JC for 3 years collecting mediocre grades.
I could shoot 20 year me.

Yeah, honestly, prognosticating these things, trying to figure out why who is UR when, I personally have about a 0% success rate. Today I was put on hold by a school exact numbers got in with with nice $$$ - I wrote the Dean and asked why, some issue that is nothing to other schools but enough to fully hold my ap to that school. You never know how they think...jmhendri wrote:It would be more of a legacy situation if I got in then you know. I'm counting on one of my reach schools thinking that way. That's why I blew a small fortune applying to so many of them.

It's probably some behavioral issue.managamy wrote:+a lot. What issue?jmhendri wrote:Ouch... weird. Here's my guess: drinking citation affects your decision at, oh I don't know, Notre Dame?

Very close, yes, similar type thing from more than half a decade ago affects my decision at a somewhat similar school to ND.

I've been "In Review" since 12/11... obviously no Rothman with my numbers... It'd be nice to have a decision, but I appreciate no quick rejection, anyone else in my boat?

Decision finalized 12/21 as well. Don't remember when I went complete but I submitted 11/3 or 11/4. I went under review sometime in Dec.

Re: USC 2010!
I'm a bit worried because I submitted my application on 12/2, and the LSAC sent out my report by mail to them the next day...and my application is still Incomplete
They said it takes up to 3-4 weeks for them to receive it....did anyone else have to wait around three weeks for their LSDAS report to be acknowledged by USC?
