I have good - but not blow-you-out-of-the-water - softs: editor of college newspaper, helped found an environmental non-profit in DC. I think my PS was pretty good and I had good recs..

Those might not be blow-you-out-of-the-water softs for, say, Yale, but they're damn good softs, I think.

Next, a to-do list for you:

1. Withdraw from Berkeley and free up a spot for us
2. Withdraw from Harvard so I have an additional 0.0001% chance of getting a JR1.
3. Withdraw from UCLA and free up da money!
4. Withdraw from USC so others might actually have a shot at the Rothman scholarship

The list goes on, but I guess this would be a good start.

Consider 1, 3 and 4 already done. I may stay in at Harvard (and Yale, if I ever decide to apply, which, admittedly looks unlikely at this point) just to see what happens.

Given my experiences at Stanford and Harvard, I am convinced that not a single law school averages multiple LSAT scores. My average is 165. Even my high score (169) isn't that high (by TLS standards) but it gets me in the door. If top schools averaged, I don't think I'd even be in the discussion.

Congratulations to everyone accepted so far. A Stanford acceptance is always incredible as there are no auto-admit numbers for Stanford.

Wow already got the SLS admission packet (I do live in SF so it's not THAT surprising I guess). There's a ton of stuff in it, including a tee shirt (they got my size right too) and a big folder with lots of info.

Haha thanks. Yeah I got the call at 9:35 PST and the admission packet at about 11:00 PST. She said they mailed it yesterday and I guess I'm only 35 miles away.

I know someone who got a 160 on his first LSAT and then a 171. He got in off the WL last year. I really don't think they average.
