congrats screech, I'm in the same boat as you, I applied to both. I hope I get a call soon, this waiting is killing me.

Applied to both. 3.1/160, wrote SMU specific essay.

Got my call for PT. I applied for FT & PT but as this is my second year applying to SMU I will happily take PT!
Just like everyone else, I was confused with the "decision rendered" switch on 1/30 with "JD evening" if you have this too, it prob means you will get a call today. Looks like they might be going in alphabetical order as i am a "w"

My #s are 160 with 3.4GPA

I just got the call, I'm in for PT (161, 3.59). I applied for both, but I'll take what I can get. It's my #1 choice, any other people probably gonna end up at SMU PT?

Since I was deffered (combined with numbers on the low side) ...Would my chances greatly increase if I changed to PT?

For those that got into the PT program, like JMOC2009 and Goatboy 1970...did you apply for regular decision or early decision?

does anyone also think that smu is tougher to get into this year? i mean 161 for their PT program? really?

they are probably trying to up their medians for the purposes of the new US News Rankings, but realistically some of those people with 161's will get into better schools and probably won't go to SMU PT, unless they are gonna sweeten the pot with some scholarship money...

you could ask to be considered for both ft and pt.

Don't do that! I applied ED to only SMU's Part-Time program, then after a little while I panic'ed and asked them to change it to FT/PT with my preference being PT. I ended up getting "held for further review" because SMU neglected to tell me that regardless of preference, the protocol is that the application goes to the FT adcomm first and a decision is made, then it goes to the PT adcomm after that. So the FT adcomm deferred me and it never got to the PT committee for early decision, so now i'm stuck in limbo for a little while longer.
