Is the lull that we've seen for the past month typical of UVA?

I think quite a few people are surprised by the lack of motion on their part, the good news is that it's been slow for almost everyone so we shouldn't be worried just yet

any idea why no interview has come? 3.6/ 177 complete on september 1. I didn't write a Why UVA. Should I send one in?

UVA has really slowed down over the past few weeks. If you can write a sincere Why UVA you definitely should, just email it to admissions as an addendum to your submitted application.

Well, I've been UR1 since 10/16 unless I missed one in between when I went complete and when I went UR.

Took me a month to go UR2. It seems like UVA is moving way slower than usual this year, especially for those who didn't apply right after the app opened. Best of luck.

Mine only says Under Review - no number attached. Since about middle September.

There actually won't be a number attached, the number that we associate with it is the amount of times the date under it has changed. For example, on the 24th, mine went under review, and if the date under that changes again, I'll consider it UR2.
