So this morning I received an email inviting me to join the admitted students group. No other email. No change in status checker. I notified them some time ago that I wouldn't be accessible by phone for a few months, but... whadya think? Is there an acceptance voicemail waiting for me, or are they just toying with my emotions here?

Same thing happened to me. I got the "now that your a future longhorn lawyer..." email sometime in the next week. Congrats.

I think something similar happened to a few other people on this feed! They got admitted Students Facebook group invite and then later they were officially admitted. Congrats!

Not sure about general but as a data point, they gave me 2 weeks from the receipt of the email to submit a "Why Texas?" and even though I submitted it the very next day, I was not admitted until 2 days after the deadline.

Did anyone else receive a message from President Fenves saying "welcome back"? My little wishful thinking heart is hoping I was accidentally put on accepted students lists before my call and my acceptance call will come later, but it seems more like a clerical error.

I heard in just over a week, although my numbers made me a pretty easy no on money for them, so ymmv.

Getting so antsy. Texas is my top and I submitted a Why Texas (unsolicited) on 01/08 and they confirmed that they received it two days later. I went complete 11/22 and I know they basically decide in order they are received. Is anyone still waiting on a decision with a similar timeline as me?

Submitted my app at the beginning of September, received an "Application Received" email about a month later, and then an email saying that my app was being transferred to the regular decision pool on December 2nd. My status checker says, "Application pending review with Regular Decision pool."
