I got rolled over as well. I gave them a call earlier today and we should be expecting some sort of decision on our applications soon after the new year. Can't handle this wait.ashrice13 wrote:Agreed - ready to see what I can get for $$ now. I'm sure there isn't enough data on our end to see if it translates to increased scholly over comparable stats, but it can't hurt!
e - also, ~4% of ED have gotten it in the past. Can't feel bad about not being in that pool. Def. just want to see my offer now though!
I remember from past years that many ED applicants who were rolled over received their scholly info quicker. Let's hope that continues! I am now just wondering if the decisions come somewhat quick after being rolled over. You'd think so, right? I mean they have already reviewed your application.

They also say that the ED decisions come out by 12/21. They're gonna give you a later deadline just in case. I'd think (hope) that some of us will hear back before the end of the year. Especially where RD acceptances are already coming through.glaw27 wrote:I got rolled over as well. Was thinking same thing. I mean they can basically make an RD acceptance in their head while reviewing for ED...they aren't unfamiliar with our file.ashrice13 wrote:They also say that the ED decisions come out by 12/21. Just sent one of these off, basically stating I'm still excited to hear my (regular) decision. Hope I sounded nice in it.mm2368 wrote: My advice, and it's unsolicited and speculative, so take it with a grain of salt, is to send a LOCI-style letter. They might not be expecting it (I doubt that people who are rolled over ever send one, so it could be a nice treat) but I'd send it. Let them know you've not at all given up, and what, if any, are some of the updates in your life which make you an even stronger candidate than when you first applied. Even if you don't have specific updates, I think it's nice even to thank them for their consideration (ass-kissing, I know) and remind them that you're determined to make this happen for yourself.

Personally, I would send an email with the subject line: Y'all Trippin. And leave the body of the email completely blank.Dodocogon wrote:Just sent one of these off, basically stating I'm still excited to hear my (regular) decision. Somewhere at BU is an admissions officer kicking themselves over the fact that you beautiful people weren't accepted, but i imagine an awkward RD acceptance letter...
"Hey.... I hope we can put the ED behind us... Cuz we like you, hopefully you like us too."

Just to give all you false hope, in my cycle a bunch of us were rejected from ED at 5 one day and then offered RD the next morning.

No reason to refresh email, the acceptance comes by call unless they have changed in the last two years. So just make sure you have LTE.ashrice13 wrote:Now you're just fucking with us.Dr. Nefario wrote:Just to give all you false hope, in my cycle a bunch of us were rejected from ED at 5 one day and then offered RD the next morning.

Mine still says the post-ED decision message.Houzy wrote:My status checker messaged switched back to how it was pre-ED decision last night.
"Your application to the Boston University School of Law is complete and ready for review. We will notify you of the Admissions Committee’s decision as soon as it has been reached. While some applicants may hear sooner, a general timeline all applicants can follow is that those who complete their applications by February 1 will most likely receive a decision by early April. Let us assure you that we do our very best to provide decisions as early as the process will allow."
Does your status still say on hold with yesterdays date or has that changed also?
