I'm finally at Day 10 PT, hoping I don't need to wait until Day 11 like some of you on this thread.

I have a gift card to the cheesecake factory that I want to use no matter the news, but I only have time to go tonight.

I haven't received the welcome packet yet, but my status checker says that one was mailed yesterday (10/4). I was accepted 9/28.
Interesting, my decision was made Oct. 5 and no further updates on the status checker

Well it took almost a week to mail mine, so I think it's likely you'll get an update next week. (and, fyi, I received the package two days after the status checker said it was sent.)

Is the packet to everyone or just people who have been officially admitted w/o financial aid?

I was "provisionally" admitted and received the packet.

Just curious about what came in the packet after acceptance through PT since we're "provisionally accepted". So how does that work in terms of the financial package / scholarships? I know that they basically say we can apply in December so is there nothing in that packet/package that explains that process?

Did you guys complete the "employment" section on the Duke application that is just a repeat of the resume?

It's not a "process" per se. You just submit a little questionnaire after they send it and then you eventually sign up for an interview slot if you want to do an interview. And if you don't yet have that much information, now you do. But if that's all the information you have at this point, it's pretty much all you need.

It seems really unclear but once you go through it, it makes a lot more sense re: info perspective. Once signups open though, don't wait. At least sign up for a date that tentatively works. You can move around your selection, but they fill up fast especially once RD admits start going out, so you at least want something. And if you have to do Need Access/FAFSA, go ahead and get those done when you can. (FAFSA is available now I think. NEED ACCESS opens Jan 1?)

Checking in. Admitted PT. >75s. I've been assuming that means there's nothing poisonous in my application - Duke seems like a really terrific school and I love the campus.

Just received the package in the mail. It was as others have said above, mailed on 10/12 and received 10/14. So took exactly two days.

No real information in there just "provisionally accepted" and interviews for scholarships will be in December.

Did your acceptance letter personalize the second or so sentence based on your major?

Also, Duke is very smart with their PT program: I'm like super hyped about Duke now :) Whenever I am taking a break from writing another app essay I just think about Duke

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
