sjp200 wrote: thanks. I'm having a pretty decent cycle considering my GPA is <25% for all schools I've been accepted to (BU, UCI, UCD, ND, GW). LSAT should've been higher and I messed up both Oct and Dec with 163/166 after PTING 169ish for Oct and 172 for Dec. It's unfortunate but I don't want to delay another year if I can just study hard and try and maybe transfer out. good luck to everyone still waiting, I still have my reach schools where im 50% LSAT though so that's where I'll really see how the cycle pans out.
Be cautious on this, everyone's going to study hard. My advise is do not go to a school that you do not plan on staying. If transfer happens, great, but it is not something one should count on. And even if you do get transfer offers to your dream schools, you will not likely get any money from them.

Same here! It looks really nice. :)
Also received the insider's guide in the mail today. I have also read through the entirety of the online version of the guide on the ASW. It really got me excited about Notre Dame. Not to mention, Notre Dame is the next best school to Vanderbilt for big law and federal clerkships within its rankings range.

The hand-written note is a nice touch. Excited to put that travel stipend to use.

Did anyone else receive an email about the Polking Family Fellowship?

Are there any other details about the fellowship, besides what is on the website: Notre Dame Scholarships?

I can not find any information regarding funding amount, stipulations for maintaining the fellowship, any payback obligations, etc.

This provides a little more information about the fellowship, but I haven't been able to find any of the information you mention about funding amount or maintaining the fellowship. http://law.nd.edu/news/63862-the-center ... ellowship/

Decision made. No seat deposit info so I'm assuming it's a WL/ Rejection. 3.3/164 for those wondering.

BTW, Is it a good sign to receive this email regarding Polking Fellowship?
Or Is this mail distributed blindly to all applicants?
Complete since 1/5 hoping for hearing back soon.

It does reads like a mass blind email to all applicants still under consideration. I am still under review as well, so probably doesn't mean much regarding admit decision.

Congratulations, gastronomy, cphtexas, and katapiller.

To me, "all applicants still under consideration" = under review, waitlisted, or accepted. I think receiving the info email about the fellowship is a good thing. I just don't want to get my hopes up.

Are any of you applying for the fellowship?

It had a hand written note, the official acceptance letter, a small card with the travel stipend, and a sticker for your car.

Yeah I didn't even get a letter, just the insider guide

I can't wait until scholarship offers come out so that I can decide whether or not Notre Dame is a contender.

Thinking about it, but I also want to find out if there are any requirements for maintaining the fellowship.
I am applying for the fellowship! If anyone finds out other stipulations or the funding amount, please post and update us.

I believe the hand written note being referred to is what came with the acceptance package; the insider guide is just something that ND was sending out.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
