Bah, now I'm getting paranoid about why I haven't heard anything yet. I applied Jan 8th and have heard nothing yet. I was hoping to hear something by the time I visit this friday.

Good question!! Additional question, should negotiation occur if we have been nominated for the Woodruff? Should we wait until after March 10, (when we hear back from Woodruff) to start talking $$ if we happen not to move forward in the process?DZTN wrote:Has anyone had any luck negotiating for more scholarship with Emory? Some threads that are several years old state their admissions office will not negotiate, but I wonder if that is still the case.

Happened to me at FSU last cycle. Too bad things were said during the tour which turned me completely off the idea of attending there.njkga wrote:I'm visiting/touring Emory this friday - how sweet would it be if they're like "Oh hey, we have your admissions packet right here. Congratulations!"
Does that ever happen?

If you submitted an application for Woodruff, then you got that email. It was an automatic form email sent to all who applied.bdb90 wrote:I wish Emory would go ahead and admit some of us waiting about Woodruff. I mean, I got the email stating that you are considering me for Woodruff, Emory, but do you think you could admit me first so that I am not checking my mailbox neurotically.
I know, I just wish that they weren't waiting to admit those being considered for the Woodruff. But hey, it's only 28 more days until March 10th.ChocoFreeze wrote:If you submitted an application for Woodruff, then you got that email. Sure enough, this is exactly what happened today. When I arrived, they were like "By the way, have you heard anything from us yet...?" and I said "No, not yet." And the guy was like, "Well, congratulations, here's your acceptance letter!"
When I got home, the admissions package (via usps, letter dated feb 3) with my #flatdooley was waiting for me in my mailbox as well.
